The Killers is a 1946 American film noir directed by Robert Siodmak, and starring Burt Lancaster (in his film debut), Ava Gardner, Edmond O'Brien, and Sam Levene. Based in part on the 1927 short story of the same name by Ernest Hemingway, it focuses on a detective's investigation into the execution-style killing of a former boxing champion who appears to have been unresistant to his own murder.

I think that movie is “The Bribe”. Great movie.
Her voice is dubbed in the nightclub scene, but it sure sounds like her.
So many old (good) movies to watch...so little time.
For those who are Lancaster fans-—Find “The Train” in black & white & watch it. It is a true story.

I liked it.
Thanks for the recommendation.
I’m glad you liked it, and I appreciate your letting me know. I wish we could discuss such things in person, but, lacking that possibility, I’ll just wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy 2021!
Local Hero is a hugely under-appreciated film. The Mark Knopfler soundtrack, by itself, is worth the price of admission.
