Places with highest daily reported cases per capita>
Seven-day average of daily new reported cases per 100,000 residents
2018 an average of 7700 people a day died
They tell us 3020 died today from covid? Did they actually die of covid? Or die WITH Covid?
What is the truth? The overall survival rate of this virus is 99.4%- Did all 3020 people die FROM Covid? Or woudl they have survived just fine IF some comorbidity didn’t take them?
We have an upscale mall and a nightly Christmas Parade from Thanksgiving to Christmas.
The parade and decorations and sound system and light show are quite elaborate, and on pre-pandemic weekends it could draw several thousand spectators.
This year, they are enforcing masks, and trying to enforce group separation.
However, there are many groups of conversing adults standing much closer than six feet, and kids are running around everywhere, chasing each other and the fake snow flakes.
Foot traffic inside the mall is way down, but there are long lines waiting to get into the Disney store and the Apple and Amazon stores.
All in all, the people I see around here - which includes many Asians - seem completely untroubled by the World-o-Meter statistics.
Asians seem to have some sort of natural immunity to COVID-19.
Yeah, people are fairly unconcerned in my neck of woods too, everyone but the Karen’s that is. But that could change if an outbreak w e re to happen i guess. We’ve only had 13 confirmed cases so far lol, a town north of us still hasn’t had a case yet. Confirmed case anyways. Further south though and its a whole different story
