Texas has filed its reply with #SCOTUS. Now we wait to see what the Justices will do with this multi-state election challenge.

Regardless of outcome, this action by Texas more or less organizes things for potential secession. I have pondered how such could be organized and executed and it becomes clear that the 9th and 10th Amendments are the keys to a peaceful separation.

Maybe you need to get in contact with some of the Texas groups. I think Texas has been preparing for this for awhile now. I think we moved all our gold reserves back here to Texas for a reason.

My 2 cents:

The Bush v Gore decision was 7-2 to stop the counting of ballots on Equal Protection grounds, then 5-4 against the remedy to send the case back to Florida to complete the recount using a uniform statewide standard before the scheduled December 18 meeting of Florida’s electors. The courts supermajority 7-2 Constitutional ruling made it bipartisan.

I think some number justices are trying to achieve the same outcome in todays TEXAS case. Texas clearly wins on the facts and law, but the idea of sending it back to the states to recount only CONSTITUTIONAL votes is a hard pill for the liberal “justices” to swallow. And by “constitutional votes” I mean votes/ballots that comply with both the US and State constitutions.

Kagan and Sotomayor are complete ideologues - not justices. I think it’s possible to cobble together the 7 votes in favor of Texas. Then Breyer and Roberts peel off on the remedy.
