Yes, it’s difficult to tell exactly what it is. It is either a Mylar heart balloon OR a Mylar round balloon that has been deformed by the atmosphere. But it IS a mylar ballon.
Headline says the photos are “leaked”. They have been all over the internet for months.
The three pictures in the post are not sequential, they are the same picture with zoom settings changed.
The aircrew described the object as "motionless" in the text of the article. They were chasing nothing.

That was my initial thought, as well.
That looks something like an M3-F5 lifting body. Was Steve Austin flying that thing?

If filled with helium there would be some deformation at altitude. If backlite the Face might not be visible with detail.
There is no question that radiation of all sorts when it strikes nucleic acids can alter the biochemical nature of the molecules. If you believe in evolution it is thought that various forms of radiation cause the genetic mutations that are the stuff of evolutionary change. Every college genetics course has its student irradiate fruit flies and then count the mutations.
Nevertheless this biological phenomena is consistent with the laws of physics. Space travel to and from the stars is not.
Space junk not a rare thing.
As said before, the proof of alien advanced technology is their ability to seriously blur any and all photographs of them ever taken. Thus negating such as any real proof. Truly amazing! /sar
