When a stunning sculpture of Nefertiti was found by German archaeologists in 1912 it prompted enormous interest in this powerful Queen who'd lived in 18th Dynasty of Ancient Egypt.
Dr Constance Lord from the University of Sydney took Indira Naidoo from the workshops of the short lived capital of Armana where it was found, to the modern day controversy swirling around whether the bust should stay in its current home in Berlin, or be returned to the country it came from.

I was going to post something juvenile and sexist but I’ve been beaten tot he punch.
My memory of Nefertiti’s Bust in one of Berlin’s museums, is that photography of it was prohibited.

It is currently on display at the Neues Museum in Berlin, where it was originally displayed before World War II.
Note the long neck, if real, this woman was extraordinary as few have that feature.
Considering that a significant proportion of Egyptian Muslims would wish to smash this historic treasure to bits, and that the relationship between the Egypt of the Queen’s time and today is solely geography, Berlin is where it should stay.
Not uncommon in northeastern Africa. Center is the model Iman (wife of the late David Bowie), a Somalian. The lady on the right is of Czech German Scottish heritage.
