A nurse who took part in Pfizer Inc's late-stage coronavirus vaccine trial said she experienced several side effects, leading her to worry she may have contracted the disease.

That explains everything! ;-)
There is no such thing as rDNA
Ummmmm ... mRNA does NOT and CANNOT change your DNA. Why dont you explain your asinine comment to us ...
You have drunk the kool aid my friend, and made a very foolish remark
I have said before if I had a vaccine choice today it would be the russian one.
mRNA is cool and all, and while I understand how it is supposed to work and think that someday it will be well understood but that day is not today and I am not wanting to be an early adopter
Polio in its original vaccine was a live vaccine — with the attendant risks. This is not a live vaccine. Consider that we use recombinant DNA vaccines today which are far close to DNA manipulation than these
For the love al all — cannot we actually be excited that we have made a quantum leap forward? I swear the Eyeores around here — off we had to do a space race today, we would be doomed
Really? A ninth grade biology student knows this.
For the record mRNA is transcribed in the nucleus form the DNA (5’ - 3’ direction creates a 3’ to 5’ mirror). Once transcribed the mRNA departed the cell and is read in triple sequence in the ribosomes attached to the rough ER where tRNA spring in amino acids and links to make a protein. The protein then transports to the Golgi apparatus where conformational structure is attained, and based on what the protein does, is then either exported from the cell or does its job intracellularly.
All vaccines should be carefully evaluated. There is a high survival but for those that get sick the get very sick and there is no way to know who will or won’t. I have had healthy 20 year olds in the ICU. There are still people dying or having prolonged disability from long ICU stays. The vaccine is an individual choice and everyone should weigh their risk and make their decision. What I object to is those who spread demonstrably false information to influence others.
And the article doesn’t seem to indicate whether she got the vaccine or the placebo - or whether she even knows herself.
But why does Pfizer tell women to put off becoming pregnant for two months and not to breast feed for two months? That’s not spreading lies.
‘Haste’ in this context is somewhat misleading.
Unprecedented amounts of money and good manpower have been poured into the rapid development of this vaccine, along with a lot of red-tape cutting. That doesn’t happen with most instances of new drug development.
(One of the biggest mistakes that human be-ans make lies in thinking that if something hasn’t been done before, it can’t be done at all.)
I think I will skip the vaccine and make up a fake vaccine passport card. To hell with them.
What is “rDNA” supposed to be in this instance?
Pirate DNA!
I’m sure the “immunity passports” will be available on the internet for a nominal charge.
Well, just a wild guess, but: It’s probably the usual boilerplate precaution and liability concern. They haven’t tested it on babies, or on pre-born babies.
Shhhhhhh. Grandma will die if you don’t “do as you’re told”. < /sarc >
Just wait until this wonder vaccine is given to entire populations of old folks’ homes from coast to coast. And then to those poor, poor, put-upon blacks and hispanics . . .
I’m sure the “immunity passports” will be available on the internet for a nominal charge.
They’ll cost more than a fraudulent voters ballot.
