FDIC - member banks are heavily regulated for uniformity and integrity in their handling of money
The conduct of federal elections should be equally uniform and strictly regulated Why not assign federally charted banks the responsibility of running federal elections?
The “system” we’ve got now would shame many third world countries for its chaotic lack of organization, reliability, and integrity

Are you speaking of the same banks that push liberal social agendas and have been bailed out by the taxpayers?
My brokerage is highly efficient - if the people in power actually wanted honest elections it isn’t impossible. Of course, this would put the rats out of business so they’ll just continue screaming that some people are too stupid and scared to present ID...etc. Why does the GOP put up with this?
There is a clear need for election reforms.
I’m speaking of the banks that are required to keep track of my deposits and balance their books
Our ballots are not collected or counted with the legally-mandated care that our bank deposits are.
Holding clean elections isn’t rocket science. We simply haven’t got the collective will to do it.
Bankers who lose your money go to jail
Election officials who lose your ballot or count an ineligible ballot do home to dinner.

No, by retail banks that already have experience keeping track of and tabulating deposits (like ballots) - and that face federal prison if they’re sloppy or fraudulent

You tell me. At the retail level - tabulating and recording simple deposit accounts - our banks are thousands of times more reliable than our vote counting mess
