That kind of anger will not end well. I forsee prison in his future.
That punk is emulating his NFL heroes.
That’s a steroid kind of crazy...
He’s going to be a big hero to his teammates, coaches, and the entire school.
What a POS. No doubt a Democrat.
Sounds like some one never told no.
GOOD!
Time for consequences.
Heard be was a star player. Guessing he just destroyed his chance for top grade football college.
Idiot not only screwed up his life but his team mates as well.
Actually, unless they found evidence that someone in charge on the team failed to keep him from running onto the field, or helped in some way, I think it is too far a punishment to DQ the team.
It doesn’t appear to be in the rulebook, so someone made it up. If you are trying to deter the act, this doesn’t really do it in a rational way. There is nothing the team could have done to stop it, other than run pysch tests on members and reject those that have violent tendencies, which I imagine is most of most teams, it’s what makes you a good football player.
The only way this deters a kid is the inevitable bullying that the kid will get because he costs his team the playoffs, and cost some kids scholarships — people will want to kill him, he won’t be able to get a job, he’ll get attacked on the street. These are all mob-violence types of punishments; we should restrict punishment to our legal system.
This is fundamentally different than a player costing a team a game with a penalty, or by getting kicked out when the player is critical. Those are obvious results of bad acts, and are part of the way the game is played.
Looked like a clean hit.
This same consequence should be levied against the states who engaged in voter fraud. One proven instance would be enough for a forfeit of the season.
A player from the other team deliberately knocked down the guy next to me as he was running on the field.
Nothing was ever done about it. To this day it pisses me off (obviously, because I'm writing this post). Not for me, but for my buddy who got bowled over.
I think that was the year we went to Andersonville to have the band yearbook pictures taken.
Responded to this on my FB account.
About half the poster said the ref “Disrespected” the player and “Needed to learn a lesson”.
This is one of the reason I am increasingly hesitant to hire former athletes. I will never hire a former pro player again, but it is getting worse.
He can always get a job with one of the cartels with that on his resume. There’s always work available for thugs.
He needs to get on his hands and knees and thank God he’s not my son.
Criminal record for a violent crime before he even gets out of high school. Good way to start life and now hated by his team mates
His dream was to be an Antifa member. He was just showing he was ready.
