Even Katy Perry is not immune from cancel culture’s angry mob.
The “Roar” singer took to social media last week to promote a degree of post-election unity after she promoted her father and brother’s patriot clothing line to her 109 million followers on Twitter.
“We haven’t always seen (eye emoji) to (eye emoji) but I’m proud of my dad n bro for coming up with this! Head to @nothingbutUSA store for the vibes,” she posted.
In normal times, such a benign post would barely get a mention. But the political divide in this country is so wide, her post elicited responses like, “You need to realize it is YOUR PRIVILEGE being able to speak to your family even if they are republicans or conservatives. Most of us feel threatened by those people, so that’s why you need to stop [spreading] the ‘love your conservative parents’ propaganda.”
The mainstream media and Democrats have been effective in framing an anti-Trump narrative that kills any discussion. Here it goes: President Trump is a homophobic racist and if you can support him, then you must be racist, too.
Ex-staffers for Mayor Pete Buttigieg famously created a list of all those who donated to Trump and his administration, the Federalist reported. The site is called the “Trump Accountability Project,” and it tasks itself with never allowing the world to “forget those who, when faced with a decision, chose to put their money, their time, and their reputations behind separating children from their families, encouraging racism and anti-Semitism, and negligently causing the unnecessary loss of life and economic devastation from our country’s failed response to the COVID-19 pandemic.”
Joe Biden, the so-called president-elect, has showed that he envisions a White House that looks very much like the Obama administration and has essentially tapped every glorified clerk under President Obama into leadership roles in departments. (He seems to forget that the Obama administration and its divisiveness lead to the 2016 victory for Trump.)
The Blaze reported that Perry was even called out by Markus Molinary, who is a jewelry designer, who said, “I’m sorry, I LOVE YOU but this is a HUGE NO for me! It’s not a political issue. It’s ‘straight’ up a human rights issue” that cannot be covered up “with a T-shirt.”
“Most of us feel threatened by those people,”
Well, y’all are morons, so....
shunned .... or worse.................
> She will get no sympathy from me. <
I will reserve judgment until I see what her next move is. If she grovels and apologizes, then yeah, she deserves what she gets.
But who knows? Maybe this will wake her up. (Not likely, I know.)
Anyway, stories like this are important. As the old saying goes, “The revolution eats its children.” No one is safe from liberal fascism. No one. Maybe Perry won’t wake up. But maybe some liberal somewhere will read this story, and wake up.
> If you don’t follow the [leftist] orthodoxy 100%, you’re a heretic and should be shunned. <
Yep. And to make it even tougher for the average liberal, that orthodoxy is constantly shifting. For example, liberals should support oppressed minorities, right? No, not if that oppressed minority happens to be Jewish. That’s no longer permitted.
These average, garden-variety liberals think they will be safe from the cancel culture guillotine. They won’t be.
Her parents are sincere but have ways that will seem odd to others. We once had an outdoor lunch with them. Right in the middle the father jumped up to speak with an obviously needy person walking by. Gave him some money and came back to eat. IIRC they bought the lunch.
Otherwise known as a cult.
It isn’t even the message on the shirts that offends the losers. The message appears to be supporting the current liberal calls for unity. It’s the fact that she is supporting her conservative, religious family that is making them crazy. They hate us for what we are. Anyone who thinks they aren’t willing to kill us is in denial.
>but to a Liberal seeing the American Flag probably makes scares them...
Since they are claiming election victory (by hook or by crook) they will come around and say “That’s OUR flag now”.
Also questioning the transparency of the FBI, CIA, DOJ, IRS, ETC will be considered “un-American”, comrade.
I barely heard of her. There was a song that is part of the grocery store playlist that had a nice beat. I could only make out a few words. That was enough to find “Like a Firework” by Katy Perry on YouTube. It’s not bad at all:

While no expert, I’ll still say that she’s a better singer than Taylor Swift. They are both pretty girls who I think tap into “I’m just an ordinary girl” message that ordinary pre-teen/early teen girls would like. Just my marketing/psycho-babble take.
Yep, that is their base, adolescent girls with no IQ....................
“The images of her music says it all.”
I saw a few of her YouTube videos and thumbnails of videos. What I saw seemed O.K.
Adolescents with no I.Q. have always been the base of popular music. It probably worked for you and me!
correction!:
Low I.Q.
Let’s face it, how smart are adolescents?
At 14 I was just beginning to get into music, past the ‘bubblegum’ stage and into Beatles, Doors, Led Zeppelin............................
Katy Perry killed a nun.
Katy is a very religious woman. She said she “prayed to God for boobs so big she couldn’t see her toes”. Looks like her prayer was answered.
She may have been. Not sure about now. She was into the whole Luciferian thing not long ago.
