You really should give the Clone Wars a chance. Rebels is a bit Saturday-morning-cartoony, but I think Clone Wars is probably better than the prequels, all things considered.

Plus I believe the same guy who is the showrunner for Mandalorian was the guy behind the Clone Wars, so there are going to be multiple “easter eggs” from that show popping up on the new one, I think.

the disney sequels are pure pc garbage.

Rey is a toxic marrysue.

ANYTHING associated with Kathleen Kennedy is toxic to the brand and toxic to profits.

I have notice how she may be a “producer” in credits of the Mandalorian but in the behind the scenes pr and documentaries she is specifically minimized.

I thought Ahsoka in live action was not believable. It is obvious Rosario Dawson has zero fighting skills and she has no athletic tone in her appearance. Also the costume is weak at best as cosplayers do a much much better job. Also her headress is the wrong length in apparent concession to the actresses lack of fighting skill.

To preserve the story and profitability, The Disney Company needs/must keep Kathleen Kennedy and the Star Wars (woke) story group far far far very far away from the mandalorian and spin off stories.

BTW Footnote: Grogu is “yellow” in corsican and also the name for an alcholic beverage made out of sugar cane...

“The Last Jedi” is a beautiful movie that tried to deepen Star Wars

Sorry, no - this article lost all credibility with me with that line.

This latest episode blew the scope of this series wide open. This is the Star Wars storytelling that the fans deserve. Favreau and Filoni KNOW and understand Star Wars and the lore.

The series borrows from samurai legends and is influenced by Kurosawa. One episode, “Sanctuary” is heavily influenced by “Seven Samurai.”

What started as an interesting episodic series following the adventures of Mando protecting “the Child” has expanded its boundaries in season 2 into an epic saga by introducing the best of characters and events from materials outside the theatrical releases. The show just gets better with every episode.

This series alone is worth the $6.99 per month subscription fee.

youtuber OverlordDVD reported on a rumor that Disney Company is looking for ways to erase the sequel trilogy.

They want to find a way to rewrite it all or just simply memory hole the fiasco.

It’s funny that those books are “non-canon” now but they put Admiral Thrawn in “Rebels”, so he IS canon, even if his entire backstory has been deleted. They also put a Noghri character on that show too. No ysalamiri though :(

The Last Jedi sucked because it was just a bad story with unlikable characters and plot points that made no sense. Light speed as a weapon? The rebels could have destroyed both Death Stars quickly and easily by just sending a ship at light speed through them.

Totally agree. “Heir to the Empire” was a great series and I’m glad to see Thrawn made canon.

If left to hollyweird they will gender swap him to a her.

(Still upset how Jar Jar Abrams abused Admiral Akbar.)

BTW last Jedi is used in film schools as a perfect example of a bad movie and what NOT to do in film.

What I find fun about The Mandalorian is how it builds story out of very small things from the Star Wars universe that you don’t even have to know. Like the 1st episode of season 2 when they fight the Krayt dragon. That’s a reference all the way back to the first movie and the skeleton the droids wander past on Tatooine. You don’t have to know what it is to enjoy the episode, but if you do (or you look up recaps like I do) it just adds a little something.

Meanwhile they tell good stories.

Ha! A perfect example of what NOT to do. Rian Johnson is a competent director based on what I saw in “Knives Out” but he should NEVER be allowed anywhere near another Star Wars property. I’m hoping the plans of him directing a new SW trilogy have been scrapped.

It should have setup things for episode 9. But they threw it away. It would be much better if Rey wasn’t from one of the BIG families. Open up the story again. That’s what Rian was trying to do. But then Abrams burned it.

Not just the original movie. The MMORPG Star Wars Galaxy had a multiplayer quest to kill a krayt and the quest start point was almost a mirror image of the canyon and cave in the episode.

I’m glad they finally gave the Child a name. I was getting sick of the stupid “Baby Yoda” crap which made no sense. The species wasn’t called “Yoda”, that was his name.

Anyone else notice that the Mandalorian seems like Clint Eastwood’s Man With No Name in space armor?

Yep. Mandalorian understands that it's fan base is guys. It doesn't hit us over the head with super-girls or feminist dogma.
