Full Title: We're as good as it gets: Intelligent life is extremely UNLIKELY to exist anywhere else in the universe because it took a series of miracles for humans to evolve, say scientists
Statisticians say the evolution of intelligent life is 'exceptionally rare', and that human-like civilisations are extremely unlikely to exist on other planets.
In a new paper, Oxford researchers theorise that, for life to evolve in the same way elsewhere in the universe, it would take longer than the whole of Earth's projected lifespan.
Evolution on Earth from the Big Bang up until the current day has involved a series of what they call 'evolutionary transitions' that were helped by chance....
...The fact that some transitions occurred only once in Earth's history suggests a remarkable stroke of luck ...

They repeatedly prove divine design and yet continually discount their own work!
So then that makes no known intelligent life anywhere in the Universe (especially here)
Based on what I see going on the in the world today then I can’t say that I find the human race to be extremely intelligent.
And there is the dilemma of other life elsewhere in our vast universe, thank you, I agree.
I know intelligent life isn’t in the following areas: Albany, NY, Hank Johnson’s Congressional District, Maxine Waters District, the Chicago City Hall and the Democrat Leaders in the house and Senate... 😀
Junk science.
I read somewhere that only 4% of the universe is observable and the remaining 96% is speeding away from us so fast that it would be impossible for a spacecraft to ever reach the horizon in any direction. There may be keyword advanced intelligence out there ‘somewhere’, but odds are it would remain so distant there’d never be contact.
Of the 1/6th of our universes’ planets, there may also be intelligent life on the scale of predator/prey relationships. But how many have copied a stable atmosphere, or the diversity of edible plant life and animals seemingly taylored to man, or the scale of the advancements that man has seen - from Magellan navigating the Pacific in 60ft ships to satellites navigating the solar system just in the last 500 years?
I disagree with the article as I am currently watching a documentary on Star Trekking and have learned quite a bit about real aliens such as the Vulcans and the Klingons and the Romulans. All hushed up officially of course.
# 16 You should say Klaatu barada nikto!
ConsiderING the trillions upon trillions of galaxies, stars, and planets in the known universe, I’d say BALONEY!
“And pray that there’s intelligent life somewhere up in space
‘Cause there’s bugger-all down here on Earth!”
I’m ceasing to find significant intelligent life on this planet. Idiocracy is on the rise.
They cite spontaneous “miracles” instead
You’re either deliberately misstating the odds or you really don’t understand. You act as though there were only one chance per planet of biogenesis when hundreds of trillions of combinations occur every minute
” because it took a series of miracles for humans to evolve”
Mixing metaphors - miracles and evolution don’t go together.
Well, of course! Being an Earthling, you would naturally have the perception that Earth was "special." Someone on a planet a billion light-years away would, of course, view his planet as the Center of Creation.

“The human body is a miraculous thing...but greed and power sure screws up human existence.”
Those are part of the human body. Where do you think they come from if not our nature?
Pfft, Angels are intelligent beings, they just exist in a coordinate system the scientists don’t believe exists because they cannot tweak it. They will not take GOD’s word for it, so they will never experience it. The Redeemed however ...
I have one reason - Jesus is the only begotten son. Jesus came here to earth, to his Father’s creation and claimed people, then returned home to his Father where He waits. If The Almighty had more than one peoples, people in different galaxies granted the same free will and where He’d still be battling Satan, free-will or no, he’d need more than one son. But He has only The One.
