Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp (R) on Monday shot down President Donald Trump’s call to bolster the state’s recount using his emergency powers.
“Georgia law prohibits the governor from interfering in elections. The Secretary of State, who is an elected constitutional officer, has oversight over elections that cannot be overridden by executive order,” Cody Hall, a spokesperson for Kemp, said in a statement to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. “As the governor has said repeatedly, he will continue to follow the law and encourage the Secretary of State to take reasonable steps – including a sample audit of signatures – to restore trust and address serious issues that have been raised.”
Earlier Monday, President Trump criticized Kemp for failing to tackle the “goldmine of fraud” in the state’s presidential election by not signature matching mail-in ballots.“Why won’t Governor Brian Kemp, the hapless Governor of Georgia, use his emergency powers, which can be easily done, to overrule his obstinate Secretary of State, and do a match of signatures on envelopes,” the president tweeted in reference to Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger (R).
Raffensperger has said signatures matching is now impossible due to ballots being separated from their outer envelopes.

I probably indicates Wood is not afraid of Kemp filling a law suit since that would include a discovery phase and Kemp does not want that.

Because rewarding them is like rewarding Mitch McConnell and the establishment K St., Republicans I think a better message would be if they don’t support trump let them get blasted out and they’ll come back in for us and they’ll have to do a lot of concessions

There will be no relief offered for the election corruption in Georgia from the corrupt governor nor the corrupt secretary of state. It has to be sought elsewhere. And if the Republican legislature in Georgia is as gutless as the Republican legislature here in Louisiana...

Great question. Having a majority that is beholden to the corruption is my guess. It is awfully quiet here except for the GOP emails I get every day.
I don’t have cable but have only seen ads for warnock and ossoff on my streaming service since after the election.
I fear this is already a baked cake and the GOP along with Purdue and Loffler know it.
I mean look at our governor and sos. They’re wanting to abide by Abrams wishes to expand the mail in voting. 60k having requested mail in ballots? I don’t know the numbers for the general election but this strikes me as a huge red flag.
Arrested of course, they are beyond dirty. The more important question is what is being done to clean it all up? The same steal will occur on the Jan fifth elections, same filthy rotten officials, same corrupt machines, more fraudulent mail in ballots....and all the while not a peep from state reps.
The problem with Trump’s strategy here is much like similar problems we’ve seen in the past 4 years, it relies on principled action from cowards and thieves.
