Chart of COVID cases vs deaths is being ignored
ourworldindata.org ^ | 11-28-2020 | Various

Every State in the USA, along with every other country, is increasing lock downs due to COVID-19 CASES. What is the ratio between cases and deaths over time? This is ignored. Scroll down a bit on this link and you'll see that total CASES has grown exponentially, while total DEATHS has remained linear (very low slope). The mortality rate must be dropping, yet we're ramping up the fear and tyranny.

You can change the country on the chart, same is true everywhere. They don't want to talk about the ratios, only rates of new cases.

Not that the mortality rate is dropping; the cases aren’t rising. The rise is sue in large part to the increased testing.

We “flattened the curve” but it wasn’t good enough for them. Now it’s all about “cases” and “positivity rates” from tests that are run at higher than normal cycles, in their quest to create more false positives. All this for something with a 99% recovery rate.

as far as I can tell the red states (with rational leadership) are basing the lockdowns based upon ICU availability and not raising rates. This seems to be at least true in my state.

Blue states on the other hand are just locking down pursuant to the will of Soros.

I used to watch my local news for the weather and stuff, but they spend at least the first 10 minutes on "CASES" and the daily rendition of how WE can help stop the spread.

THEY ARE SPREADING COMPLETE LIES!!!

There are several things going on. The testing is expanding so we are getting more of the cases that previously slipped through the cracks, while fatalities have almost always been recorded, thus the apparent fatality rate has dropped. Next, we are actually making some progress at treating the disease, so the real fatality rate is dropping. And finally, this disease takes a long time to play out, at least in some of the cases. Some people are still sick, neither cured nor dead, after months. That tends to force a lag in the statistics.

And according to CDC data, the total deaths for all reasons is level compared to last year.

Maybe we’ll learn Dominion Testing Systems is in charge of Case Count.

In Orange County, Calif. where I live, about 1,500 new “positive cases” and three deaths were reported yesterday. Today, it was 1,666 “positive cases” and 0 deaths. Orange County, with a population of three million, has had about 1,600 deaths since the epidemic began. I’d bet a sawbuck to a doughnut that the effects of the lockdowns have killed many, many more than that.

Here are two more possible reasons that mortality is not increasing. Many of the most vulnerable have already died and now those left among the most vulnerable populations are being protected better.

“And according to CDC data, the total deaths for all reasons is level compared to last year.”

Yep. And the incurious here and elsewhere seem to have no problem with that apparent inconsistency in the narrative.

Youtube: 20m21s: 23 Nov: Peter Hitchens (Daily Mail UK) urges people to ‘stop swallowing this garbage’ on Covid restrictions
by TalkRadio
Speaking with talkRADIO’s Mike Graham, the journalist said: “Unless we can show this thing was wrong from the start, we’re stuck with it until at least the spring, and quite possibly forever.”
It comes after health secretary Matt Hancock warned Covid measures will be needed through the winter despite the latest successful vaccine trials.

above references a Ross Clark/Daily Mail article, which is what the following is about, yet it has no link to Clark’s article that I could find!

23 Nov: Daily Mail: Department of Health in climbdown after online swipe at The Mail’s analysis of Covid-19 facts and figures
•The Mail said Government predictions on potential fatalities were inaccurate
•Whitehall spin doctors used official Twitter account to try to rubbish the report
•The department failed to identify a single error in the figures and data we used
By David Churchill
The Health Department was forced into a humiliating climbdown yesterday after accusing the Mail of ‘misleading’ readers.
On Saturday we published a two-page analysis raising multiple questions about ministers’ handling of the pandemic and their use of data to justify draconian lockdown rules.
We pointed out that Government predictions on potential fatalities were wildly inaccurate and deaths are not far above average for this time of year.
Shortly after publication, Whitehall spin doctors used the Department of Health and Social Care’s official Twitter account to try to rubbish the report...

following has 9,600 comments, 43,000 shares. yet I had great trouble finding this article, even when seaching the exact date parameters, author, newspaper, & various key words! had to find a link from a Russia Today article?

22 Nov Updated 23 Nov: Daily Mail: What they DON’T tell you about Covid: Fewer beds taken up than last year, deaths a fraction of the grim forecasts, 95% of fatalities had underlying causes... and how the facts can be twisted to strike fear in our hearts
By Ross Clark
Despite the fearmongering, the number of Covid-19 deaths is significantly lower than the peak back in April
•Latest ONS estimate shows that in the week ending November 14, new infections were already levelling off
•GCHQ staff have been embedded in a Cabinet Office team in Downing Street to provide Boris Johnson with real-time updates of Covid-19
•Analysts will sift through vast amounts of data to ensure Boris Johnson has the most up-to-date information

worth reading all as well:

22 Nov: Russia Today: UK Health Dept pilloried after issuing vague objection to Daily Mail article challenging govt’s Covid-19 narrative
The Mail pointed out that the number of daily deaths being reported in the country is not unusually high for this time of year, adding that 95 percent of Covid-related deaths involved people with serious underlying conditions. The government’s fears of hospitals being overwhelmed by Covid-19 patients were also questioned, with the Mail reporting that only 31 percent of intensive care unit beds are currently occupied by patients that have tested positive for coronavirus.

The analysis caused a sensation on social media, and even caught the attention of the Department of Health and Social Care...

The governors have never had so much power and they won’t give it up that easily. Power is no good unless you can use it for something. Media love it because the people stuck in lockdown are watching way more television. The number one advertisers on television are pharmaceutical companies. I watched Hogans Heroes and most of the commercials were for drugs and medicines. They were advertising cold medicine but nobody gets colds or flu because covid cured them.
