What a Beautiful day.
Finally did the canning I’ve been putting off.
6 half pints of jalapeno jam and 16 half pints of grape jelly from backyard pickings that I stashed in the freezer.
I used a different brand of pectin-Ball I think it was-and it seems to be working better than Sure Jell.
We got home safely from our Thanksgiving visit to my sister in Pennsylvania. Sadly, our beloved Tuxedo Kitty, Jake, passed over the Rainbow Bridge in my arms, on Friday afternoon. He was 14 and apparently had a massive infection that our quack vet ignored.
Today, I unload the box trailer and prepare to drive up to our RV site to prepare the RV for removal to our home, where I prepared the site before the Thanksgiving trip. I hope the snow holds off for a couple of weeks, so that I can clear the site.
It was a lovely day until a few hours ago. The doorbell rang because my pizza arrived. In the process of opening the door, a bird flew in. I have been trying to persuade it to leave with no success. I had just finished cleaning and will most likely have to do it all over again! The bird is probably a Carolina Wren, which are numerous around here. Have a nice night everybody.
