Alabama announced Wednesday that head coach Nick Saban tested positive for the coronavirus again and is experiencing symptoms this time.
“This morning we received notification that Coach Saban tested positive for COVID-19,” a statement from team physician Dr. Jimmy Robinson and Alabama athletic director Jeff Allen said. “He has very mild symptoms, so this test will not be categorized as a potential false positive. He will follow all appropriate guidelines and isolate at home.”

In mid-October, Saban tested positive for the virus and immediately went into isolation. However, he had three consecutive days of negative tests and was cleared to coach in time for Alabama’s 41-24 win over Georgia on Oct. 17. It was determined that the initial positive was inaccurate.
The testing is like looking for “pure” water. Just how pure?
Refine any test enough, or amplify the results enough, and you can always find a person is “positive”.
Well, we already know there are a lot of false positives.
He’s a superspreader.
Saban’s could have that dynamic plus the flu.
I really think there is a significant amount of that going around.
I think when you get it the second time, third, fourth, etc., it’s much more likely to be worse than the first.
Just a hunch.
I’m sure you could find some science out there to back that up, and some science to refute it, but you can find science for anything these days, and the more mainstream, reputable of a source they are, the more unreliable they are, so I’ll stick with my hunches for the most part.
Okay, so if actually HAVING this illness doesn’t immunize you, how can a vaccine do so?
that’s nothing, Elon Musk tested positive twice AND negative twice, on the same day, using the same test brand.
If I were Saban, I’d get re-tested.

The Covid hysteria is alive and well in Canada, where we have seen an increase of “cases” of close to 5000 per day, compared to the spring peak of about 2000 per day. Although the daily cases are 2 1/2 times more than May, the peak daily “death” toll is less than half, 100 compared to a daily peak of 235 in May. The percentage of deaths to positive tests, has dropped from over 10% to less than 2% (and we know the actual number of people infected is likely much much higher because asymptomatic people have no reason to be tested, and some with mild conditions do not bother getting tested). At the current rate, we would end up with about 130,000 deaths over the 12 month period starting in April 2020, in a country of almost 37 million people.
The leading causes of non-accidental deaths in Canada have been very consistent over the past 5 years:
Cancer - 79,000
Heart Disease - 53,000
Brain blockages/aneurisms - 14,000
Lower respiratory - 13,000
Flu and pneumonia - 8000
Diabetes - 7000
Alzheimers - 6500
Liver disease - 3500
Kidney disease - 3300
That’s about 188,000 per deaths per year due to causes that we know are complicating factors for those who contract Covid.
What we will only know once the statistics are compiled, is how many - if any - additional deaths occurred, and how much deaths have decreased in these previously identified categories. And we must also look at whether suicides increased in that same Covid affected year from the average of about 4300. If all deaths identified as Covid deaths are in addition to the historical rates in these categories, then the medical deaths should be about 320,000, a 70% increase from 2019.
I’m willing to bet that the actual increase will be far, far lower, and that we will learn that most of those who died would have died from one of the other underlying medical issues had Covid never escaped from China. Liars figure and figures lie, but medical figures lie the most.
