This should be headline news, but is not.

Looking at the weekly COVID-19 deaths, I don't see any trend since August 1st that would require a second lockdown.

How many athletes and coaches from the NBA, MLB, NFL,and NCAAA have died or been hospitalized from COVID since team sports resumed in August?

But all we hear about is the number of new cases as if that alone were a reason to limit the rights of the people. And only a small percentage of them were from covid alone and not linked to a co-morbidity.

I’ll take my chances, I don’t wear a mask and I have no underlying health issues that would put me at risk.

And..that doesn’t add up to the 200,000+ deaths the press keeps announcing

I noticed the phrasing “All Deaths involving COVID-19“ as the heading. Lol.

Same thing in Britain. It is not about safety. It is about control. F’m. I'll be in Pennsylvania with family for turkey, then opening day, WITHOUT testing and no quarantine.

You really shouldn’t mess with a whole lot of people holding loaded high powered rifles.

Hey, we have to make it sound really horrible if we can. Let’s start calling it a quarter of a million deaths. As soon as people hear million, that’ll be the new number.

I didn't reproduce the entire table.

At the top of the table is says "Total Deaths 236,351"

“Data during this period are incomplete because of the lag in time between when the death occurred and when the death certificate is completed, submitted to NCHS and processed for reporting purposes. This delay can range from 1 week to 8 weeks or more, depending on the jurisdiction and cause of death.”

You need to check the notes at the bottom of the chart. The deaths always look low for the first 2-3 weeks. Only about half the jurisdictions report their deaths to the CDC within the first 10 days. Many take 2-3 weeks or longer. The numbers get adjusted as new reporting arrives. This always happens for every cause of death.

Then there was severe underreporting for last week. I look at this chart several times a week, and last week was lagging way behind all week, when prior weeks (at the start of a new week) were more or less what you see here.

Where did I hear that the hospital ‘bed capacity numbers’ are being manipulated ? All this so the MSM makes it ‘look like’ higher hospital percentages ??

sorry

While COVID deaths are on the decrease, what appears to be a sudden drop off is due to the lag in reporting. Note the coincident sudden drop off in deaths due to all causes.

On the other hand, the death rate is now approaching 100 percent of expected. Basically, this means that COVID deaths are basically substituting for flu or pneumonia deaths in pushing people over the edge.

Happens every single week. Here's a comparison of how the data for the last 4 weeks of October changed between when it was reported on October 30th vs today:

October 30th:

Source

Same dates, but data as of today:

Source

The data gets updated as more jurisdictions report in. Even the data that was 4 weeks old at the end of October was only 90% complete then. CDC is only able to provide what the various jurisdictions report to them. If Bumfart, Kentucky takes 3 months to get their data sent out to CDC, there's nothing CDC can do about that except report what they have when they have it and give everyone a warning that it's incomplete for a while.

The week doesn't have complete data yet, it takes a while for a 50 states to process. There is a reporting lag.

Here is a snapshot of "live data" and it is bad. Worst week since New York was crashing in April.

Results take time to come in. The latest week’s results are therefore always quite low.

There is in the past few days a cresting of the “third wave” (actually, 2nd), but nothing like you’re seeing, and not in deaths yet.
