Full title: TWO MILLION Americans ignored CDC guidelines to travel by plane on Friday and Saturday: Dr Fauci urges nation to do 'risk-benefit assessment' before Thanksgiving travel as crowds keep flooding airports
Two million people traveled by plane in the United States on Friday and Saturday despite the Centers for Disease Prevention and Control (CDC) issuing new guidelines last week...With the coronavirus surging out of control, the nation's top public health agency pleaded with Americans on Thursday not to travel for Thanksgiving and not to spend the holiday with people from outside their household.
Despite those warnings, 1,019,836 passengers flew in the US on Friday, according to the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). Nearly a million more traveled Saturday, their data shows...

But notice that the same people who could not follow a single rule in the 60s, are now in charge of draconian nanny states?
I don’t see why people who’ve recovered from covid should have to wear a mask - that’s stupid. Isn’t there a little card to carry with you? Recovered on date kind of thing? There should be.
and the tyranny spreads:
23 Nov: news.com.au: Qantas CEO Alan Joyce says proof of COVID-19 vaccination will be a condition of international air travel
Anti-vaxxers will be grounded under a new rule announced as a “non-negotiable condition” of international air travel, according to Qantas’ CEO.

Proof of COVID-19 vaccination will be a non-negotiable condition of international air travel, according to the Qantas CEO Alan Joyce.
Anti-vaxxers will be grounded in the brave new world, with Mr Joyce confirming vaccination will be a requirement to fly internationally.
Mr Joyce has repeatedly warned that international air travel won’t resume until there’s a vaccine available for staff and travellers, but on Monday night he went a step further, telling A Current Affair host Tracy Grimshaw that as soon as a vaccine becomes available it will be a condition of travel...
If anti-vaxxers want to try alternative airlines, Mr Joyce predicted they won’t be travelling far.
“I think that’s going to be a common thing talking to my colleagues in other airlines around the globe,’’ he said...

funny how the airlines slip right thru without any responsiblity in it all...
I flew through ATL Saturday. Not even close to a sardine can.
How is this possible? 8 months of masks and distancing and crowd limits and lockdowns. How could it STILL be surging out of control? Someone with more than 10 functioning brain cells might well conclude one of the following:
A. All of these supposed new “cases” are really just false positive test results
B. None of the moronic “mitigation measures” (the plexiglass everywhere being one of my favorite, unbelievably pointless and stupid measures), have made any damned difference, because they are stupid, pointless, and ineffective
C. All of the above
Of course, few in government and far less than half the population seem to have more than 10 functioning brain cells, so here we are.
Quack Fauci said it was OK to meet homosexuals strangers in public bathrooms and sodomize each other but you shouldn’t kiss your wife.
Agreed
Could he not have booked a direct flight, early on? Or, did he not know that he’d be traveling the weekend BEFORE THANKSGIVING....the 2nd busiest travel weekend of the year???
That is hilarious!
No problem for him Air Force One can fly to China got to keep his boss happy.
Thanks. My son fixed that up for me.
When he flies out, we don’t know how long the assignment will be. A two-day job can easily turn into a week or more, especially if parts need to be ordered halfway into the project or the workload increases. Or a client will call from another state and he detours. The best we can do is make reservations the prior day to completion and cross our fingers that we can get reservations, or that we don’t have to change them again at the last minute. Manufacturers have to keep running even if it’s near a holiday. And he’s one of maybe a dozen who can do what he does.
Over the summer, the airlines were plagued with cancelled flights because of low staffing/limited aircraft, so one time he drove cross-country home from TN, dodging an tornado, Texas Rangers scrutinizing his rental license plates (followed him into the gas station restroom for a ‘where you headed, son’ chat lolol) and a freak northern NM snowstorm on a last-minute detour to another client. I’m surprised the airlines all of a sudden can handle 2 million plus, in just 2 days.
That does sound very frustrating.
He’s blessed to have you as his travel agent!!
One less thing for him to have to deal with....with everything else he’s dealing with (on the job).
I hope he has an uneventful trek back home, for a wonderful holiday.
