Why do you want to hear stories about babies soiling their cloth diapers?
That's kind of twisted. {;^)

Well, if I had not been merely a gleam in my parents’ eyes (born in ‘54), I’d be scratching my head over the future decline in basic math skills!

I was in 8th grade science class when a note came in from the principal. The teacher read it aloud. That ended the instructions for the day. Anyone that wished could lay their head on their arms on the desk.

I wasn't alive 75 years ago. But If I was, I would probably be playing on my phonograph some of the latest hit records including
The Honeydripper by the Honeydrippers,
Around the Clock Blues by Johnny Otis,
Mop Mop by Louis Jordan, and Perry Como's just-released
Dig You Later, almost certain to be a big hit.

November 20, 1945? What do I remember doing?
Even though I'd been driving for two years on back country roads, I was getting ready to take (the next week when I turned 12) the test for my drivers license...
We, as a family, were still waiting for Dad to get home from the Pacific... When Okinawa had been secured and the japs surrendered, his Marine Corps division had been shipped to China where another shooting war was underway...
We had not seen him since he enlisted/was drafted in Feb 1942... He did get back in time for Christmas...

In 1963 I was in the 5th grade and I remember the principle coming into our room to announce that the president had been shot.
I was watching TV when Oswald was shot. I watched as Mrs. Kennedy got on the plane with her blood-stained clothes and I watched the parade and the funeral.
I remember going to K Mart during that week and looking at all the people. They were as sad as I was.

Approximately 75 years ago, I was marching in the streets of my hometown with my parents, banging on pots and pans, celebrating the end of WWII.
I often wonder what those of the greatest generation who gave up their lives fighting for freedom would think if they could see where this country looks like it is heading today.

To answer what was mesnt by the question:
I was not in school yet, only 4 1/2. My little sister had only been home from the hospital about a month. My dad was trying to get a handle on what career path to take as small farms were quickly disappearing, and he needed a new way to support the family.
One of his teachers at the business school told him to try a new idea called “computer programming.”

57 years ago, I was at Hebron Avenue School in Kindergarten, playing the triangle. When Walter Crankball said the news that he died, my dad said, 'Someone was mad that he was fooling around with his wife'. I was thinking about Thanksgiving than JFK.
In Tampa, there's a marker where JFK spoke before leaving to Dallas.
