To answer what was mesnt by the question:
I was not in school yet, only 4 1/2. My little sister had only been home from the hospital about a month. My dad was trying to get a handle on what career path to take as small farms were quickly disappearing, and he needed a new way to support the family.
One of his teachers at the business school told him to try a new idea called “computer programming.”

later in life I stood directly under “the window” of the School Book Depository, looked at the marker down the street, and thought “this was just NOT a tough shot”, especially with a scope,Me too. I have been through the 6th floor museum and looked at the angles and distances. Pretty easy.
Everyone should see that geometry, in person, before they opinion up on the issue. My first impression was you could have hit him with a rock if your timing was right.

On 11-22-63 The lunchtime recess bell rang earlier than usual for us second graders at Hawthorne Elementary. When we got back to class the teacher was crying and told us President Kennedy had been shot dead. (obviously way before today's touchy-feely mush method of 'he passed...'). Then we were sent home early.
Seemed so strange to be hearing he was shot, since just before that, JFK had come through ABQ to visit the Lab. We were standing on the corner of Central and Wyoming and my daddy hoisted me up on his shoulders so I could see his car go by.
