Florida State chickened out and should be made to forfeit to Clemson football.
The Clemson football team was informed at 8 a.m. E.T. when the Tigers were still at their team hotel that their game against Florida State had been postponed.
According to The Stadium’s Brett McMurphy, Clemson football had a player test positive on Friday and Florida State’s medical team was ‘concerned’ about playing the next day.
That would be fine, except the same exact scenario happened to Florida State earlier in the season and nothing was canceled or postponed. FSU Head Coach Mike Norvell tested positive on a Friday– we all know he was around several players on his team- and the Seminoles still played their game Saturday against the Miami Hurricanes.

Additionally from the article:
“If that weren’t bad enough, Clemson football also reportedly offered to play FSU on Sunday or Monday, according to reports from David Hood at Tigernet, and the Seminoles still refused. If they had moved back the game a day or two, it would’ve allowed for 2-3 more rounds of testing to be conducted before the game was played.
The intriguing portion of all of this is if the game will even be made up. Why would Clemson elect to travel down to Tallahassee- again after already paying its travel expenses- to play a basically meaningless game with a bad Florida State team?”
They act like the Wuhan Flu was another Bubonic Plague, or some horrible hemorrhagic fever like Ebola.
It woulda been ugleee! 50 point margin or more. FSU, like Nebraska are faded programs... Penn State ‘peers to being headed in the same sad direction. How the mighty have fallen... and can’t get up!
What the hell Nebraska, getting clobbered by Illinois at home?
Never should have left the Big 12.
It is becoming a ploy to game the schedule
This is basically for all intents and purposes an exhibition season, enjoy the games, but the National Champion should come with an asterisk.
China flu is the all-purpose excuse....
Nebraska lost the ability to recruit about q5 years ago. They kept trading on fading glory.
Iowa State can build a program in America, so Nebraska really doesn’t have any excuse. Honestly it is a good thing for the state. I left to go to college because UNL was a football school that had no interest in anything else at the time.
Hard to believe Scott Frost got more talent at UCF than he’s getting at Nebraska.

Fully agree - in fact I don’t even think they should record wins or losses. Let’s just wipe the slate clean and start over...
I look at this as a lost season for College Football anyway. Teams have cancelled games, players are electing to sit out, covid, BLM. I’ve watched college football for 55 years and this is the first season I really don’t care about.
Before this last January you could look in any scientific journal or textbook and see that a coronavirus is a cold virus.
The culture at Nebraska is nuts.
Enough that getting a recruit from say, Texas or Florida, isn’t as easy as it should be.
I have family close to the program, and Frost never had a chance. It will take ten years to get better, and no coach will have more than 4 years.
I am enjoying that my alma mater Iowa State is having a good year. However, it is changing the school in a bad way.
The whole thing is nonsense. Would they have postponed or cancelled a game if someone on the team had the flu, measles or a STD? The whole world of college and professional sports is nothing but a clown show with fixed results.
LOL, bet you wouldn’t being saying that if Penn State was 4-0.
Ha - and they’re about to be 0-5. Enough talent but apparently no technique and no heart. Brutal season.
I was really hoping Indiana was going to pull it off today.
....Dominion and Smartmatic are reportedly hiring strong bodies to help with the rapid relocation program...
Yeah they came back hard at OSU. I am impressed, they seem to be for real. Big Ten needs competitive depth so hopefully they can keep it going, and would like to see the Rutgers and Marylands of the league take it up a level also,.
