See I disagree that Obummer was even the major flash point in this really. It wasn’t Obama. He was just yet another leftist stooge. They had already infiltrated before Obama & before the Clintons. They had to have been there for quite a while now 😏

I’m with you. I totally understand. I alternate between the two as well. My husband- 32, served in Afghanistan, wounded warrior/amputee- is ready for Civil War 2. He’s been warning of it for a couple years now. I thought he was being macho & over the top. Nope! He was right. I find it terrifying & “bring it on” simultaneously 😉

It’s not going to happen that way. We have jobs, families, and bills to pay. In CW1 the states paid their troops and their families could continue on with the men fighting. And we won’t see a Yugoslavia-style collapse into civil war because our society is still too cohesive for something like that to happen.
I assume by civil war people are talking about mass killing of the Left. I don’t know what to tell you, but that isn’t going to happen here any time soon via armed conflict. About the only thing I can conceive of is lone wolf attacks — poisons, gases, radiological attacks (e.g. soft X-ray emitters, radioactive substances), etc. Not even a McVeigh-style event rises up to what people appear to be conceiving of in terms of what a civil war would accomplish. Talk about switching to the “ammo box” is just pure fantasy. I don’t see people with day jobs saying, “okay, honey, heading out to join everyone else in town so we can caravan to the city and wipe out a few city blocks. Be back my midnight.”

I think you mistakenly assume things remain static. Trump has proved that a non Democrat can win black & brown votes. I think we were mistaken in ever believing that minorities were permanent Democrats. It was lazy of us 😉

There will be no secession. Not a single state legislature willing to take that up. Such things would only happen on empty bellies. We are way too fat and content for that.
