I think you mistakenly assume things remain static. Trump has proved that a non Democrat can win black & brown votes. I think we were mistaken in ever believing that minorities were permanent Democrats. It was lazy of us 😉

Trump has an appeal that is unique to him. There is no Republican I can think of that will be able to reach non-traditional GOP voters the way that Trump has. Most Republican pols come across as being wimpy, and nobody likes a wimp.
