1. Fighting a low-intensity war on the other guy’s turf takes a while and requires our guys to spend a long time in country to learn the languages, the cultures, the operating environment to effectively change their minds or just kill them - without getting too many of us getting killed while we do it. Technology and air power help but they are not going to win anything. Those kinds of wars take time and a very high level of proficiency. I feel sure that you have had the opportunity to learn these lessons first hand.
2. Don’t underestimate the XVIII Airborne Corps. The are good and highly proficient young men and immensely patriotic. They and their past adversaries know very well how quickly death comes when they arrive. I couldn’t imagine why they would come western Kentucky “with hostile intent” but should they do so, I would advise that all the denizens of that area find a very deep bunker and avoid annoying them.

THe Insurrection Act has been invoked a few times. There are different ways it can be invoked. I expect it to be so again if the demsheviks don’t shut up and sit down.

Yes from bitt’s helpful wiki link ( sorry I should have looked that up), it really has only been used nationwide during the civil war, all others were local, regional or over a state but not at national level.
I’ve looked up, and posted, the actual Insurrection Act specs. I do think it’s very possible Trump may invoke it if the demsheviks get too out of hand up to and including using auntifaz, BurnLootMurder and others assorted thugs on a wide scale.
If it gets widespread across the country and is threatening our stability and national security, it would be the perfect definition of insurrection.
( I believe the communist activities across the board with fraud, threats, bribery, blackmail, suppression of free speech and attempted coup is already well past insurrection, but it still probably wouldn’t be invoked until it -the violence - gets much worse. And it may get much worse.)

I love your sincere confidence, but I can’t share it. I’ve been down this road too many times. Too many Hannity “bombshells” and “breaking news” that comes tomorrow. I remember the days here on FR when Obama was going to be proven to be ineligible and he’d be gone. How did that work out?
My sanity demands that I accept and prepare for what’s coming. This constant, just wait, it’s coming, in another week, in another few days, we’ll get them. Only to have Lucy pull the football. Yeah, Barr and Durham were going to make noise, they were pros, they were going to get those SOB’s. Or, slow walk the process so they could produce NOTHING.
You continue on being positive. It seems to work for you. I’ll simply prepare. Oh wait, I forgot, I have to *fight*.
