Back in the late 70s early 80's the world was on fire and a weird thing happened, a rebellion of sorts, from the right and the left and definitely from the ground up.

The Exploited was always a favourite. Kinda political, but just the raw power.

Killing Joke, Husker Du. Not quite punk, but great sound.

Minor Threat.

Black Flag. Got to hang out with Henry, and just a handful of other people, while the opening bands played.

That’s a good choice.

The Slits had some interesting tracks such as Typical Girls, and their cover of I heard it though the Grapevine.

‘Gimme Danger’ is a documentary about Iggy Pop aka Jim Osterberg. The film closed out comparing punk bands, from the past to the present, to Iggy & The Stooges from the late ‘60s, early ‘70s. I will say, all Iggy’s children are playing his licks.

Iggy arguably invented punk, maybe the MC5, Jim was just an unassuming Ipsalanti Mi boy that enjoys playing golf..
