And posting from almost any source results in derision of the source and the poster. It's been a tough week. People are hurting, lashing out and attacking any opinion that doesn't match their own. There was a time when FR wasn't an echo chamber, and reasoned debate was the norm. I suspect some folks are taking a break and getting a little fresh air. Some will return.
I pretty much quit posting because I got tired of being attacked about my posting.

Some are posting multiple articles within a specialty thread without posting on the forum.

I still kind of miss the ‘not a ping list’, although you probably weren’t the caretaker, I forget who was, but just so you know, you’re appreciated.
The rankings would be higher than that if everybody wasn’t automatically logged in.
I used to check Free Republic traffic counts every few months.
All the free web traffic counts have disappeared, so I have not checked for many years.
My own impression is that we had a sharp drop off in FR membership after the highly aggressive "Always Trumper" mob showed up in 2016, and more drop off after the "Q" mob showed up in 2017.
Regardless, I voted for Trump in 2016 and 2020, I still visit Free Republic every day, and I still donate to Free Republic every month.
Who cares how many Vanities are posted. The comments in each solid thread appear to be longer.
And yesterday FR seems starved for bandwidth. My computer hung a few times. I’ll bet that’s because people are doing a lot of research on FR to find out what’s happening with the election fraud.
Free Republic became a lot less free when so many Freepers bowed to the WuFlu hysteria and agreed to lockdowns. This forum was rife with end of the world charts, case fatality rates, and exponential spread scenarios.
This is has become the protect me and that monthly check forum.

... and why are you using FR to promote it?
I routinely promote links to articles posted over here on The_Donald.win. It's something called the free flow of information. FR is a great source for research and information, but somehow it appears to be lost on you that discussion posting boards are not a zero-sum game. Most of us share freely and learn, All you have ever shared was your ugly, jealous spite for posters who are far more polished than yourself.
You read -- what -- maybe one newspaper a day -- and then, only the comics and lonely hearts section -- and then you wonder why no one cares what you have to say?
You contribute nothing of value to any thread to which you post. You exist alone in your own sad echo chamber. You fancy yourself to be the self-appointed "blog police," as though anyone cares. One wonders why a thoroughly miserable guy like you posts here at all.
Since your posts are so pathologically acrid, and since no one really cares what you have to say anyway, you might ask yourself why you are even here at all.
Were you to leave, I'd suspect you wouldn't be missed.
If you do happen to show up over there, they'd sniff you out pretty quickly. I'd also suspect you won't survive long, because, as you have shown here too many times, you simply can't keep up.
You are a loser, humblestumble. And you post like the loser you have been revealed to be.
