“The legislature doesn’t certify the vote.”

True, but irrelevant.

"The article didn’t say they do, nor does state law. Troll......"

It's right in the headline.

"Philly Inquirer Reporter Says PA Legislature Won’t Certify Election Results Until a Full Audit is Conducted"

Correcting misinformation is not trolling.

"True, but irrelevant."

How it could it possibly be irrelevant to point out the legislature doesn't certify the results in response to a headline about the legislature refusing to certify the results?

It’s my understanding that an AUDIT is more than a RECOUNT.

Yes? If so, this means lawyers will be pouring over everything. Not some ‘volunteer’.

Please tell me I’m right? I’m right right? ;p

Not an AUDIT but a full MANUAL RECOUNT!
(But perhaps an audit is the step to get to the recount?)

I hope that's correct....such as requiring valid registrations, signatures and mailing envelopes matching the mailed votes.

Exactly, I believe it means they will look at this from a forensics perspective. ANYTHING can be scrutinized!

I found this https://votingmachines.procon.org/questions/what-is-the-difference-between-an-audit-and-a-recount/

I believe the legislature selects the electors so they do control it.

"I believe the legislature selects the electors so they do control it."

The question is specifically about whether the legislature certifies the results of the election, as written in the headline. It doesn't. That's a fact.

The Constitution does give the legislature the power to choose the method of selecting electors, which it has done by holding an election. But what that means here and now has nothing to do with the legislature certifying the results of this election.

Am I the only one afraid that a full audit &/or hand recount of 6.6 million ballots will take forever & day (far more time than we’ve got), & that it will involve the same crooked clerks, polling supervisors, etc, that helped perpetrate this mess in the first place? Do we know for sure that such a procedure will allow a D counter & an R counter to inspect each ballot?

If someone could educate me on how the 2nd time around is guaranteed to be more fair & secure than the first, that will put my mind at ease.

IMO the best advantage of a true hand recount is that the dreaded Hammer/Scorecard won’t rear its head (unless it can hack into the counters’ brains?) The margin in PA was only 45K votes, & I would assess that H/S flipped many times that amount to Biden. Thus, a pure manual recount of all ballots, even with all the tainted ones left in there, would still result in a YUGE margin for Trump.
