Doing so cannot hurt, and may help. Also, it keeps one from a state of passivity, and may give information useful to:
possibly find someone who just needs info to flip from dark to light.
In addition, according to your page, you are part of a ping list - who on that list is or may be in a swing or contested state? Should they not know? What if you contacted them to let them know they may be able to help?

I like to keep the cooking thread politics-free, as much as possible. Too many people have told me that it’s restful to them, as opposed to the rough-and-tumble of the rest of FR.
Most of them are very savvy Conservatives and responsible voters. They don’t need me to exhort them to further effort; and I suspect most of them have already seen your own post.
(But I’ve had some success making inroads with people in my personal life :-)
