I modify my comment to “favorite debut album ever”

Boston: I could take or leave. I thought much of the music was repetitive. That isn’t meant to discount it, just that I didn’t find it as appetizing as others.

Guns: I liked it. I owned it. I’d go with the Cars though.

Van Halen: Absolutely a power house. Could be #2 for me.

Hendrix: Before my time. No denying its greatness. Hence, modifying my remark.

To be fair, the only clunker on The Cars’ debut album is I’m in Touch with Your World. It is easily one of the strongest debut albums ever. Interestingly, someone I know who saw them live said they were VERY LOUD.
