The debate over how to establish the industry will be informed by a disparity study to determine whether racial minorities or women face a disadvantage in participating in the gambling industry. If the study finds thats the case, lawmakers may need to include provisions so that underrepresented groups have a chance to participate.
With those questions unresolved, its not known yet when bettors will be able to place a wager.

Idiots vote yes to tax stupid people.
Hire more crooked peeeeples of color to run a gambling joint?
Biff Tannen’s Pleasure Paradise Casino & Hotel
What a stupid State.
Why not? The idiots in MD elected a failed leader of the NAACP, Kwesi Mfume, as their senator, over the far superior R candidate Kim Kascik. Gotta keep their perfect, multi-generational stream of corrupt black D politicians going, don't they?
I’m fine with question one. The corrupt oaf masquerading as a governor in this state is practically a dictator on the budget. I’m well aware how awful the Dumb-O-Crats in the legislature are, but the budget, like the federal budget, should be at least partially determined by the legislature. I voted yes. Flame away.
Question two will be a cluster. I’ll be surprised if any of the funds generated by seniors gambling away their SS checks will actually go to education. I voted no.
Maryland “Freak State” PING!
LOL!
Apparently so. This state is hopeless.
This Marylander voted ‘no’.
Education gets plenty of $ already.
Just look at the per-pupil spending in Baltimordor.
The Geezer Brigade already piss away their SS checks at Rocky Gap Casino. Hell, I don’t even do the scratch-n-sniff lottery tickets over in Georgia. I like my money.
LOL!
I remember in 2001 going up to a protest in Atlantic City against a Bill Clinton appearance, led by the great Doctor Raoul (RIP). While I didn’t locate the protest, I remember seeing senior citizens entering the casinos. I’m like, WTF, I’m paying these people!
Klacik....Representative.
This Marylander didn’t.
I voted against both questions.
After all of these years, I finally came up with the best method to determine my vote. I am no dummy, but I often find the wording confusing in these ballot issues. In years past, I would read as much as I could find on an issue and then make my decision.
This year, I added another tool. I went to the websites of 2 different county Democrats’ groups. Both endorsed answering “yes” to each question. Sealed my vote for a “no”.
