*** URGENT - PROBLEMS WITH SHARPIES *** If you voted in person and were given a Sharpie please read this. You need to verify if your ballot was counted. If it was rejected you have to call immediately.
Visit https://recorder.maricopa.gov/beballotready/
to see if your in-person vote was counted!
I suspect that what the website actually indicates is that you showed up and checked in to vote at your precinct. I don't understand how they could be able to record that the machine actually read your ballot.

This sharpie thing smells like bull stank.
Black is black and blue works too
If the optical reader scans it how does it know you used a sharpie?
I think some one is sniffing sharpies.
I believe what I heard was poll workers gave out sharpies to use on in person voting and someone challenged that. The ballot says only black pen is allowed.
Not sure either. I’m just reporting my experience.
An army of attorneys are all over SHARPIEGATE.
no name, but it has a barcode.
I don’t know about AZ ballots but UT ballots specificially say to use a black or blue ink pen. If AZ is the same then WTF is the problem with people? The most gawdawful simple instructions and they still mess it up. A sharpie isn’t a pen.
We send ya to school. Buy yer books fer ya. Even give ya a mule to ride on.
What do ya do?
Stand on the books and f*** the mule.
Here in Colorado I did my mail-in ballot with a sharpie and when I turned it over I saw that it had bled through. I called for a replacement ballot and was told that the machine that reads the ballots would ignore the extraneous marks.
My ballot in ohio said black or blue
They bleed through the paper. However I heard that Arizona solved that problem and Sharpies, by law, are now okay to use. I think what their trying to get across is local precincts are now applying the old bleed through argument to reduce the Trump vote.
I was talking about AZ
I had not thought of bleed through.
There is no option to check in-person votes. How did you verify your vote? What menu choice on that page did you choose?
That site does not have any option to check your in-person vote. You can check only mail-in, early, and provisional.
The ink from the Sharpie soaked through the ballot. We had candidates listed on both sides of the ballot. All the judicial candidates were on the back.
I could see the ink soaking through. Even when I submitted my ballot, I questioned whether it would be counted properly. The ballot paper also seemed thin.

Both my kids live in Phoenix. Both voted yesterday, and confirmed they were given sharpies. I sent them the link to see if their votes were counted. They are saying that, at this time, the website does not show they have been counted. Both Trump votes.
