[The GOP didn’t have sugar daddies like Soros to fund a massive as campaign. The Rats did.]

Out of curiosity, did your area have any Trump ads at all? My impression is that it was non-existent in much of the country.

“Are you suggesting that more Trump supporters would have turned out if they had been allowed to start voting days or weeks before Election Day? I don’t think that’s true at all.”

Trump discouraged his supporters from mail in voting. Democrats encouraged it and it seems to have worked in their favor.

We live in a different time, media is completely different. Tv ads are outdated forms of communication. This election was not about Biden having good ads. It was about 5 years of hate towards Trump. Not enough ads in the world for Trump to convince the haters otherwise.

Philly counted 460,000 already and has only 210,000-260,000 left, these are the worst batches for us. The others may not be so bad.

And I think we were up by over a million before the mail in ballots were counted (if the current numbers include a net 420,000 Democrat advantage from the first 700,000)

Maybe Democrats who ran a senile and corrupt candidate on a underlying platform of looting and arson would have done better without TV ads. I have my doubts. I’ve seen some of their ads. For someone who’s not really paying attention, Trump comes off as the Antichrist, and Biden as a living saint. You’re convinced everyone’s a Freeper or a DU’er. I know of any number of people whose only knowledge of the candidates, apart from their names is from news coverage and ads. They simply do not pay attention to political news. That’s the target audience for ads.

You’re explaining how the Democrats used mail-in voting to downs their turnout. That’s true. I just don’t see how turnout among Trump supporters would have been any higher if they voted by mail.

I’ve been saying for weeks that anyone who votes by mail even if they’re capable of voting in person is a moron. The U.S. Postal Service accepts a failure rate of up to 4% for its first class mail delivery, which means you’ve potentially got a 1 in 25 chance of having your ballot never show up to be counted.

Sorry — that should be DRIVE UP their turnout in the first sentence.

“Political campaigns are about convincing the undecided and countering the other guy’s messaging.”

Generally true. This was a different election - it was about getting one’s base to the polls. The only “undecideds” going into September were either liars or totally clueless people who should not vote anyway due to stupidity. I don’t know any GOP POTUS candidate who worked very hard during his 4 years specifically for minorities and my bet is the voter turnout for him was not significant.

Looking at the electoral map one can see the damage California has done. The state votes 67% kkkrap. AZ, NM and CO used to be very reliable GOP states, now flipped to kkkrap b/c rich Kalifornicators moved there with their voting patterns. The disease will continue to spread. Also, the GOP ceded the cultural and educational issues several decades ago, and like it or not, that is a significant factor in how people think and how they vote.

Voting by mail gives cover to the Democrats for suddenly finding votes. I found it odd that Democrats pushed for that strategy but now it makes sense. They can just keep finding mailed ballots.

What I don’t understand is why go to that trouble for this candidate. He’s 78, in mental decline and embroiled in scandal that the international media is covering.

Because of his VP.

The problem is that the Democrats have always been able to “suddenly find votes” in the sh!t-holes they control. They don’t need the mail to do that.

I am with Dave - early voting is a significant contributor. This is part of the “ground game” - it tells the party whose door they need to knock on, or whose ballot one needs to fill out. As those numbers dwindle. The board of elections in turn provides daily updates.

Alberta is right too = where mail in became easier or more prevalent. It has a higher propensity for fraud. It made it easier to skip the early voting and go “help” people fill out their ballot.

Results would be vastly different if election day were held only on the 1st Tuesday after the 1st Monday, and absentee ballots only by legitimate excuse. The convenience and decline in public morality have had negative consequences on the integrity of the election.

Well it didn’t help that Trumps campaign manager blew 800M out of 1.1M which left the election chest with few funds for ads.

Maybe less rallies AND MORE COMMERCIALS.

Something to keep in mind here is that we’re probably looking at this the wrong way, too. We tend to focus too much on cleaning up the voting process, but that’s really chasing the wrong solution. Even a 100% pure and foolproof voting process would present a huge problem — which is why the men who founded this country worked so hard to minimize the direct involvement of voters in our governing processes.

The inexorable decline of this country has been driven by this delusional, destructive notion that anyone who can breathe on a mirror has the right to have a say in our government.

Because he will not be President for long. He will be done away with after he is elected. Harris will be President.
