I remember in 2016 seeing a guy being interviewed. This guy looked to be in his 30s, a couple of days of stubble on his face, blue jeans, work boots, work shirt, and cap. He was asked why he supported Trump, he said, “because he’s one of us” the one asking the question looked dumbfounded, who could a working stiff think that a billionaire is “one of us”, the man went on to explain that “the East Coast elite, Hollywood, and the media hate him, and they also hate us.”
President Donald Trump is only a temporary remedy. DC is a cancer that must be removed or this country will die. The Romans couldn't do it. Can America?
I doubt that America can do it, to be honest. The next Democrat President will be as radically left as Trump is anti-Establishmentarian, and will undo much of Trump’s good works.

Political corruption will always try to grow like a weed. Of course a people who feel weak, afraid, and dependent on government are ripe grounds for such weeds to flourish. It is a strong independent confident virtuous people that chokes such weeds out.
No cleaning up of the corruption will long endure without a change in culture.

What would it take to go back in?
Democratic presidential contender Joe Biden has vowed to reenter the deal on his first day in office. He could do that through a brief executive order accepting the accord on behalf of the U.S. — just as Barack Obama did in 2016.
But a signature alone might not cut it. The U.S. would also need to submit a formal plan for cutting emissions, known as a nationally determined contribution or NDC. The rules aren’t clear about whether this is a prerequisite for joining or would have to follow shortly afterward.
To do that, the administration would need a plan and policies — and, to implement it, the support of the U.S. Congress.
Is it really that easy?
There is the question of money. The U.S. committed $3 billion to the U.N. Green Climate Fund, which helps poorer countries cope with climate change and move to clean energy. Obama paid $1 billion of that amount.
Biden has said he will “recommit” to the fund, which implies back-paying the U.S. debt. But that commitment is several years old and the hosts of COP26 — the U.K. government — are calling for rich countries to double their previous climate finance commitments...
