A premature baby the size of a Superman action figure has made a miraculous recoveryand now celebrates every milestone with his sidekick by his side.
Logan Ray was born at 23 weeks gestation, weighing just 1.5 pounds, the same height as a tiny 12 inch Superman figure.
Doctors told his parents to prepare for the worst, but just like his new hero toy, little Logan was a fighter.
And with each miracle week that passed, the preemie grew and grew until, after 105 days at Randall Childrens Hospital in Portland, Oregon, he got to go home.
His mom Val, 34, now takes photos of the boy with the same Superman doll every year to remind everyone how far hes come.
He is a little superhero himself. Even when he was just a pound-and-a-half in weight. I called him my little tough guy.

Thank-you for the good news.
What a great story to begin the day with!
Ahhh....just a clump of cells...says Andrew Cuomo, Ralph anortham, planned parenthood, Alyssa Milano, Kermit Gosnell, and too many other science deniers.
Awesome story to wake up with. Thanks!
He’s beautiful! Thank you!
Fabulous article...
Thank you for sharing it.
First third of life in hospital. We decry the expense of our healthcare but this is where it shines! Thankyou to all of the medical staff who participated in this happy results!
Thank you for posting this. What a beautiful little fellow he is!
Thank you. The precious little one
Brings tears to my eyes. We have 3 children, all strong and healthy but two of the births were very dicey.
This boy will live a long and full life hopefully, Feel the sun on his face, run barefoot in cool grass, fall in love.
His parents will swell with pride as they watch him grow so in love with him that in almost hurts.
All due to the miracle of modern science and being born in the best country in the world. It sickens me that anyone could even consider an abortion.
What a fighter. Prayers for the little man and prayers for the parents.
Good for Mom and continued prayers for everybody.
My daughter in law is a NICU nurse. She took me on a tour of her unit many years ago. I will never get the image of one tiny baby out of my mind. He was 12 oz at birth....the weight of a can of soda. Translucent skin and oh so very tiny. If memory serves me, he did survive. There are so many tiny ones who thrive under the special care of NICU Dr’s and nurses. They are all truly miracle workers, IMO. God Bless them all.
That’s not the sun shining, it’s God’s beaming smile as He beholds the little one.
