If anyone thinks masks are a test of the limits of the public’s tolerance of govt control, think again. All the govt has to do is convince the people who own and operate businesses, and who are intimidated by the demands of insurance and the specter of liability.
When I must shop, I must wear a mask or they’ll eject me. So I put it on. But I shop as seldom as possible.

A couple of weeks ago I was going into Sams and the ID checker asked me if I wanted a mask. I gave my usual smile and said no. I then did something I normally do not do and said, "have you ever read the side of that box?" She said, no and I suggested that she do so, then went on my way. On my way out she saw me and came up to me.

"They don't protect against anything!"

"I know."

"Then why are we doing this?"

"Well, you are doing it to keep your job. I am NOT doing it because it is useless, dangerous for me and against my religious beliefs."

"Hmmmm."

The next time she saw me she did not even ask, just smiled and waved me on my way. The guy with her hissed "she is not wearing a mask!" As I walked away I heard her answer, "have you ever read the side of the box?"
