Newt Gingrich said the left is going to be shocked by a Trump victory and said an electoral map showing the incumbent president with 326 electoral votes seems right to him in an interview Wednesday night with FNC's Sean Hannity.
"He has a better likelihood than he did at this stage in 2016 when he was clearly behind and closing rapidly," Gingrich said. "The people I trust the most, the pollsters that have been the most accurate over the last 5 or 6 years who seem to understand the dynamics of the age of Trump."
"I saw today the first electoral college map that made sense to me and it showed Trump at 326 electoral votes plus," Gingrich said. "I think that is probably about right. I think the left is going to be terribly shocked."

My wife and I live in deep blue Northern Virginia. After work today, we decided to hit an early voting place. Since there was steady rain on this Thursday mid-afternoon, we expected no one to be there. There was overflow parking and a line of about 100 people outside the building.
Considering the political demographics here, it was depressing.

I’m almost thinking the polls showing Biden way ahead is the kindling that will be used to cast doubt on a Trump victory and start the fire of riots and resistance. The Democrats may have internal numbers like Hillary in 2016 that it’s not going to happen so they plan to toss as much sand into the gears as they can.
I expect the left to drag the results out as long as possible because undermining the trust in institutions makes it easy to change things when they regain (God forbid) power. Expect even more anti-Electoral College talk as well, especially if Trump loses the popular vote.

I know VA has been trending blue but it wouldn’t surprise me to see that happening. Since the 2018 elections, the left has been pushing their agenda big time in the state and a lot of conservatives and probably a decent number of independents are pretty fed up with it.
Same here in New York. People around here are usually lazy when it comes to voting, 2016 for example there were absolutely no lines, in and out in 2 minutes and it was like that every election. Now there are lines with a 2 hour wait. Is that because of extreme Trump hatred or extreme Trump support? Well considering New York is solid blue it’s probably extreme Trump hate. But you know, it’s New York, it doesn’t mean he will lose the election.
