It took months of denials, an endorsement from President Trump, and many misrepresented studies, but a case study of Dr. Zelenko’s protocol has finally been published, and it shows he was right.

Published on ScienceDirect.com, the peer-reviewed study was the first to look at early, out of hospital treatment of COVID-19 with Zelenko’s protocol of Hydoxychloraquin, Zinc, and Azithromycin.

While other studies looked at the effects of Hydroxychloriquin alone, or treatment during the later stages of the COCID-19 infection, this is the first to look at Zelenko’s entire Protocol, including dosages and timetables.

The case study of 141 patients treated within four days of the onset of symptoms was done, using independent public reference data from 377 other confirmed COVID-19 patients of the same community who remained untreated as a “control” or reference.

Of the 141 treated patients, only four were hospitalized vs. 58 of the 377 who went untreated.

Of those treated, only one person died, while thirteen died in the untreated group.

The study concluded that “Risk stratification-based treatment of COVID-19 outpatients as early as possible after symptom onset with the used triple therapy, including the combination of zinc with low dose hydroxychloroquine, was associated with significantly fewer hospitalizations.”

The study also noted that there were no cardiac side effects noted from the treatment.

PDF VERSION OF THE STUDY

COVID-19 outpatients – early risk-stratified treatment with zinc plus low dose hydroxychloroquine and azithromycin: a retrospective case series study

Highlights

First COVID-19 outpatient study based on risk stratification and early antiviral treatment at the beginning of the disease

Hydroxychloroquine at low dose in combination with zinc and azithromycin proved to be an effective therapeutic approach against COVID-19

Significantly reduced hospitalization rates in the treatment group

Reduced mortality rates in the treatment group

ABSTRACT

Objective

To describe outcomes of patients with coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in the outpatient setting after early treatment with zinc, low dose hydroxychloroquine, and azithromycin (triple therapy) dependent on risk stratification.

Design

Retrospective case series study.

Setting

General practice.

Participants

141 COVID-19 patients with laboratory confirmed severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) infections in the year 2020.

Main outcome measures

Risk-stratified treatment decision, rate of hospitalization and all-cause death.

Results

After 4 days (median, IQR 3-6, available for N=66/141) of onset of symptoms, 141 patients (median age 58 years, IQR 40-67; 73% male) received a prescription for the triple therapy for 5 days. Independent public reference data from 377 confirmed COVID-19 patients of the same community were used as untreated control. 4 of 141 treated patients (2.8%) were hospitalized, which was significantly less (p<0.001) compared with 58 of 377 untreated patients (15.4%) (odds ratio 0.16, 95% CI 0.06-0.5). One patient (0.7%) died in the treatment group versus 13 patients (3.5%) in the untreated group (odds ratio 0.2, 95% CI 0.03-1.5; p=0.12). There were no cardiac side effects.

Conclusions

Risk stratification-based treatment of COVID-19 outpatients as early as possible after symptom onset with the used triple therapy, including the combination of zinc with low dose hydroxychloroquine, was associated with significantly fewer hospitalizations.

I’m not a doctor, I don’t play one on TV, I didn’t sleep at a Holiday Inn last night. I take zinc, quercetin, D3, and get my rest. I’m 69, I’ve had a heart attack (I’ve got one stint”), and have lived with asbestos around me most of my life. I believe this man is all over this issue and has been from early on. My real goal since I have no way to get the total ingredients is to keep my immune system up and running. Helps with flu, pneumonia, shingles, and other stuff too. What pisses me off, is the bad press he gets. IMHO

Yes, Quercetin is a great prophylactic, that Dr Z recommends, if you cannot get the HCQ.

You’re right...it also has several other benefits.

Good for you, for reading up, and taking charge of your own health.

Agree. Dr Z (and a few other great Docs) should be being heralded as a saving grace. Instead, in our upside-down world, he’s completely barraged and falsely maligned.

This treatment works like a charm and they are denying it to people around here due to “recent guideline changes”.

NIH still recommends NOTHING for non-hospitalized CV19 patients. https://www.covid19treatmentguidelines.nih.gov/therapeutic-management/

Which would you rather have, an 80% reduction or nothing?

If I read this study correctly, the death rate from SARS-CoV-2 and from all causes were BOTH one fifth in the Zylenko Protocol group compared with the untreated group.

My sister’s rheumatologist told her that she used this treatment on one of her other patients and he was basically cured in four days.

RE: My sister’s rheumatologist told her that she used this treatment on one of her other patients and he was basically cured in four days.

Here’s the problem — skeptics are arguing that EVEN WITHOUT HYDROXYCHLOROQUINE, these patients would have recovered on their own anyway. There’s no way of disproving this.

Dr Zelenko’s Protocol, for Low and Moderate Risk Patients, calls for 500 mg of Quercetin/day.

== == == == ==
Then, the argument back to skeptics is to have THEM prove that this inexpensive, relatively harmless medicine does NOT work. They cannot, so....allow the medicine to be prescribed.

Also, I think there are numerous studies and examples, showing how HCQ HAS worked, to show the skeptics.

The owness to ‘prove efficacy’ can work both ways, to these ‘skeptics’.

My main philosophy in all this is we don’t need some BS vaccine for a virus that has safe cure medicines. As you point out some don’t even need the medicine.
