I used to love hearing baseball games on the radio, at night.

The sounds of the crowd in the background, the occasional crack of the bat, reminded me of the Summer crickets and katydids at night.

Somehow, I don’t think a 25% capacity crowd would create the same ‘ambience’.

But I’m glad that you enjoyed it :-)

Bone dry, winds blowing, and idiots are shooting off fireworks.

I had to think on that one...the game was played in Arlington, TX, where it's been raining for a couple of days, and they closed the roof to the stadium. lol, zero chance of fire here.

I simply could not believe that move. Snell had been unhittable up to that point. His pitch count was still in the 70s.

I turned off the game at that point. I hated the Dodgers strategy, putting in a new pitcher every inning. Analytics has killed my love of the game.

I saw my first game at Candlestick in 1962. I've learned a few things while watching baseball for nearly 60 years, and the manager threw up all over his computer.

I’ve never been much of a fan of sports at all.

I’ve watched some things - especially college things - but I’ve given up on all of it, until the leagues quit slavishly allowing themselves to be ‘socially engineered’.
