A West Side security guard was allegedly attacked by two sisters he told to wear masks and use hand sanitizer — one of the women holding him by the hair while the other stabbed him more than two dozen times.
“It’s the complete randomness of this. It’s terrifying,” Judge Mary Marubio said Tuesday while ordering the sister held without bail on attempted murder charges.
The argument at Snipes shoe store in Lawndale escalated Sunday when 18-year-old Jayla Hill took out her phone and began filming a guard who asked them to leave for refusing to use personal protective equipment, Cook County prosecutors said.

When I first read the headline I thought they were nuns.

That reminds me of an incident 45 years ago when I was a student at the University of Oklahoma. I was on campus during spring break since home was 1,400 miles away. There had been a fire-bombing on campus that week. The campus police recruited students for security at night around the campus.
During the induction, one of the officers was giving an applicant a hard time for having long hair. The officer told him that it could put him in danger. I stepped in and pointed out that that was why policemen wore clippy ties so that a perp could not get a handle to pull. I had already looked to down to see that the officer was NOT wearing a clippy tie. He quickly moved on to another topic and let the guy with long hair, alone.
The guard must have told them in cursive.
