I only wound up tuning in for the end. And at 4 hours I’m glad (geeze baseball, come on). But that was wild.
Exciting finish!
That’s what I do, I watch the last inning.
And I thought this kind of thing only happened to the Rangers.
These championships are all fake now with watered down schedules,no fans and the BS leftist attitudes.I haven’t watched any sports since the era of “Rona” and Floyd in 2020.
OMG bottom of the 9th was STUNNING, the Dodgers really SCREWED UP!!! They had the damn game won and REALLY, REALLY SCREWED UP!!
“Im done with ALL sports.”
I tried to get excited, headline, for a minute or two, it IS Tampa after all, only an hour and a half away,.........but.......
....MEH.
Bumped into the Brown’s game today and saw the provocative writings on the lower back of their helmets.
I’m so glad I dropped the NFL from my patronage.
I was watching stuff on Amazon, finished an ep, exited, hit the C button on my remote to check the score and saw that it was interesting. Saw the last 2 batters. But wow. The focus is of course on the errors, but let’s talk about how lucky the runner was to fall down. If he’s running the catcher probably isn’t distracted, then we’re talking a “standard” play at the plate. I really think not hearing the runner coming in distracted the catcher “why don’t I hear the... crap the ball”.
And Texas hosts the World Series! Any idea how much the tix are going for?
I forgot about MLB years ago.
Totally agree. Big time asterisk this season, just like in strike-shortened years. Though Ill still be happy if the Dodgers blow it. :)
I had no idea there was even a major league season going on. Whatever. College football, a whole different story. Roll Tide.
I’m still mad that they got rid of a perfectly good stadium, cause snowflakes can’t take the heat.
We were not fans of either team during the season but we are rooting for Tampa Bay in the series. I think since we are on the east coast we are more familiar with them - especially this year with the way the games were played.
I doubt I’ll ever attend a world series ever again. I went to the 92 and 93 series. The cheap seats were $30.
First 2 minutes of sports I’ve watched this year. The screams of the mostly non-existent fans are particularly amusing.
I don’t even recognize one player from either team, and the last play shows how the quality of play has drastically declined.
Brouhaha:
Signs of the coming Apocalypse, sports edition:
Dodger vs. Rays, 4th game of the World Series
Middle Tennessee State vs. Rice, last minute quadruple-carom missed field goal
Indiana vs. Penn State, overtime win on 2-point conversion that only (maybe) involved a touch of the pylon and probably shouldn’t have even gotten that far.
All that bizarreness within a 24 hour time frame.
