ARLINGTON, Texas -- The Tampa Bay Rays won Saturday night's Game 4 on one of the wildest finishes in World Series history, capitalizing on a disastrous error by the Los Angeles Dodgers to secure an 8-7 come-from-behind victory and tie the series at 2-2.
With two outs and two strikes in the ninth inning, Brett Phillips, a seldom-used outfielder, laced a single to center field off Dodgers closer Kenley Jansen, bringing in the tying run.
That's when things got wild.

Dodgers players need to forget about this and move on...
I’m done with ALL sports.
That was a wild ending. Well see how the Dodgers bounce back.
But they still NEED us to KNOW that Black Lives Matter!
Kershaw is pitching
This is his donneybrook
shame on those who kneel
Shame I don’t give a sh*t about professional sports anymore.
Rather his biggest test
This performance in the sixth or seventh. Can make or break this great pitcher forever
You dont want to be the greatest regular season pitcher only to fold in the playoffs
Big big test.
Until I read this, I had no clue the world series was going on, and after reading it, I still don’t care.
A fight or ruckus. Usually with a group of people. It is smaller than a brewhaha, but larger than a fight.
Let’s hope it doesn’t elevate to the horrendous brewhaha.
That would be hugh and series.
I thought most FReepers are done with pro sports due to their using games as political statements.
I don’t care one way or the other about Tampa Bay but I always root against teams associated with Los Angeles or San Francisco. The Dodgers were one strike away from having a 3 to 1 lead in the series. Brett Phillips had a .196 batting average before that hit.
I used to be a big sports fan until about three years ago...
There’s supposed to be 162 games in a regular season, before the playoffs.
The winners have gone through and prevailed over that grueling schedule.
This year they played 60 games.
It just can’t count.
No team is really going to be the champion. Certainly not World champs.
Should have been two errors charged instead of just one.
It is now a best 2 out of 3 series.
There was a baseball game on last night?
What’s funny is if Tampa winds up going 3 for 3 (NHL, MLB, NFL)
Thanks for the heads up
You are absolutely right.
This year really doesn’t count.
