The time and resources President Trump’s campaign has been pouring into the battleground state of Michigan appear to be paying off, according to two new polls.
Zia Poll surveyed “2851 likely voters and newly registered voters who have never voted in an election” and found Trump leading Joe Biden, 49 percent to 45 percent, for a four-point lead.
Respondents “were almost evenly split” about whether Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer (D) or Trump better handled the coronavirus pandemic response.
The poll also found Biden with a “slight” lead among black and Hispanic voters.
Painter Communications analyzed the poll and told Breitbart News Biden had the support of 46.8 percent of black respondents, while Trump was at 45.7 percent, a difference of just 1.1 percent.
Denise Painter said 44.7 percent of Hispanics back Biden, while 39.4 support Trump.
Trafalgar Group, on behalf of Restoration PAC, found Trump with a 1.8 percent lead, 46.7 percent to 44.9 percent.

I am a little skeptical of this poll however, John James could be driving this and that would be amazing. It seems to me however, that Trump would be leading by a larger margin than four points.
Quite sure. I live here. Also Baris and Roberts on the People’s Pundit as well as Robert Cahaly of the Trafalgar Group put NC solidly in the Republican column.
After the last election there were plenty of liberals that realized Hillary was just a really bad candidate. You can have the media behind her 100% but too many didn’t like her and believed she was (obviously) corrupt.
It’s as though they all forgot and picked a WORSE candidate. At least Hillary had girl power. At least Bernie had a fierce base.
Joe is transparently corrupt, there’s way too much evidence out there - plus he’s an old straight white male. There’s no ‘Biden base’.
If we can assign a special prosecutor over the ‘no evidence and illegal Russia! Russia! Russia!’ investigation, with impeachment over ‘withholding money to Ukraine’ then Joe should be ready to be impeached on Inauguration Day. He’s on video boasting about having the Ukrainian prosecutor fired over money. We have financial transactions and emails corroborating dirty laundry, which was criminal.
I think they’re all quiet about it because it’s not unusual. I wonder how many politicians enrich their families by using their influence? It’s more of a swamp than we ever realized.
The Dems need their 90% black vote across the country or they lose. Trump is polling much higher than 10% nationally.
Being tied for the black vote in freakin’ Michigan is scary good.

Good news like that deeply upsets FR’s resident pearl-clutchers. It means they’ll need to find something else to wring their hands over.
Apparently the Trump campaign has been working this type of grassroots operation all over.
Something which is to good to be true (this certainly is, and then some) == not true.
If Trump gets 15% of the black vote in Michigan or anywhere else, which is highly unlikely, he has done fantastic. It won’t be close to 45% anywhere. This straight-outta-nowhere poll is perhaps confusing “approval rating” (and even that is a long stretch) with voting preference and that is far from a 1-to-1 match.
The sad reality is a low black turnout is the best for Trump. Fortunately, Biden might be the uninspiring candidate that keeps people sitting at home. The “black vote ceiling” for Republicans is about 20%. Even a black Republican like Tim Scott would struggle to surpass that mark. James was a great black candidate against lily white Stabenow, and still couldn’t convince black voters to turn out for him. The wall around the plantation is tall, and covered with barbed wire to make leaving extremely painful.
That's it exactly. This is normal for them. They've conditioned the voting public to believe it is normal too.

I saw Biden’s “Rally” where more Trump people came than his own supporters. He gave the Trump People a new nickname—The Chumps. The Chumps for Trump has a ring to it. I would rather be a Chump for Trump than a Bast*ard for Biden. Maybe some one could make a Tee Shirt.

That 2018 election had 3 state referendums, the big one being a marijuana legalization measure that really inflated the turnout that voted in Whitmer and all the other Dems in the state wide office positions. James was on the wrong side of the ballot for that tsunami.
