A friend has taken up the cause of springing Ghislaine Maxwell from her Brooklyn cellhole, claiming she is on the verge of starvation and humiliated every day by her prison-issued paper clothes.
Brian Basham is a close family friend who wants federal authorities to grant the British socialite bail while she waits to be tried for sex trafficking next summer, the Telegraph reported. Two weeks after Maxwell was taken into custody, a judge denied her bond offer of $5 million, deeming her a flight risk. She maintains her innocence.
Basham insists Maxwell has lost 25 pounds in the four months she has been behind bars, because corrections officials won’t give her the vegan diet she follows. One day, she went 20 hours without food, he told the Telegraph. When she complained, guards removed her scale.

Well now we can’t have Ms. Maxwell humiliated, can we? Is she spilling her guts? Or is she holding back as much information as she possibly can?
Ghislaine did not starve herself
They want her out of jail so they can eliminate her.
After the Epstein debacle, they probably have triple the guards on her at every moment.
The only way she will commit suicide is if she if freed from jail.
People who use children to satisfy their basest desires get no sympathy from me.
Forget hiding, she should have left the country right after Epstein was arrested. But I’m glad she didn’t as she needs to pay for her sins against children.
At 59, her looks had probably been propped up with all kinds of beauty treatments.
Four months without them, and a sudden 25 pound weight loss, probably has her looking like crap - which probably hits her hard as well.
Busting out of jail is not a plan for long life for this woman.

That’s the weirdest part of the whole story. There was only one country that really wanted to arrest her - the United States. And Maxwell had the means to live anywhere in the world. So where did she decide to live? In the United States.
It makes no sense to me.

Why is she jailed? What crimes has she been convicted of?

Really? You are not aware of people awaiting trial that are in jail with no access to bail? What country did you come from?

She has been accused. Not convicted. Reasonable bail is a Constitutional guarantee. It is a quaint custom in my country, U.S.A.
What country did YOU come from? Does it have a constitution that specifically limits the power of the government?
If a foreign intelligence service wanted to get you, the U.S is a good place to hide. A botched operation on U.S territory would have damaging consequences that probably outweigh just leaving her be
