For nearly an houralthough it felt much longerBiden strayed from subject to subject, alternating between exasperated observations of President Donald Trump and insider anecdotes of how things used to function in Washington. Suffering from laryngitis after stumping for dozens of other candidates, Bidens delivery was scratchy and off-key, which made his meandering only that much harder to follow. Some 30 minutes into his remarks, with the keynote speaker no closer to finding an organizing theme, people began to get up to leave. First a few, then a larger trickle, and before long, streams of them, young and old, black and white, heading for the exits. Of those who felt obliged to stay, there were exchanged looks of bewilderment and wristwatches checked and cellphones fiddled with.
It was an uncomfortable scene in every respect. I remember standing in the back of that gymnasium, taking it all in, comparing notes with a very sharp colleague, Dave Weigel of the Washington Post. Neither of us could recall such a pitiful sight: The deserters kept pouring past us while Biden grasped for a compelling scrap of oratory to keep them in the bleachers. It was like watching an old athlete whose body had betrayed him. Biden, once an engaging and quick-witted pol, was on his last legs. One thing seemed certain to me that November night: If he ran for president in 2020, Biden was going to get embarrassed.
Needless to say, I was dead wrong.

But I agree about one specific point this article mentions -- the Democrat Party is brilliant at crafting its basic brain-washing concept that Biden repeatedly drills into the brains of American voters: Trump divides people and has "no soul" but Biden "cares about every American" and will unite Republicans, Democrats, and Independents to fight our way through the pandemic. Biden says he will "Restore the Soul of America." (Believe it or not, many American voters are actually buying that nonsense, hook, line, and sinker.)
Being dumb and slow. Yeah, that’s what the people really want? This guy is engaged in cognitive dissonance, and wishful thinking.
Dumb, slow, and corrupt, no campaign at all is what I’d call it. The guy that wrote this article needs a brain transplant.
You really have to reach to make believe that Joe’s hiding-in-the-basement strategy is brilliant.
This article is just a part of the ongoing help given Sleepy Joe by a fawning MEDIA to pull his tired carcass across the goal line...
Princess Alberta rationally observes a bad and mentally deteriorating candidate, so bad that Democrat supporters have to leave the room of a Sleepy speech...
But, hark the herald angel sings...Joe’s is so slow and deliberate that he’s a great candidate that people yearn for due to the bombastic style of Trump...
Did Alberta steal the axiom...’when you have a lemon, make lemonade’...?
Oh yeah, he just plagiarized the concept like his new Politico Idol...
Write back on November 4 and let us know if you still think he needs the transplant.
A celebration of mediocrity, eh? What a tell. Imagine what an unstoppable candidate Biden would be if he died in his basement. Talk about a “Landslide of the Loser!”
This is “leading from behind” (meaning total lack of leadership)all over.
be glad to. I’ve yet to see a campaign run with nobody on the ground, and no meetings with humans win while hiding from the public.
At the debate Chinas employee and rep Joe Bitme said he was going to get rid of oil and replace it with renewable energy.
Can someone explain to me just what the hell is “renewable energy”? I am sick and tired of hearing this phrase and none of these libs explain what it is or where it is.
Is this like a rubber band on a toy plane where you wind it up to get the propeller spinning and throw it then when it winds down you wind it up again? Or did AOC invent some kind of an engine that runs on nuclear fusion? But even that is not “renewable”, the sun for example will eventually die out.
NOBODY ever calls them on this crap and if God forbid Biteme wins, he is going to destroy the economy over this utter BULL. This is a scam whose sole purpose is to destroy the US economy
The article writer is a clown who blew it in 2016—and wrote a tedious article explaining why:

You can’t fix stupid—and the article writer is f&^%ing stupid!
Great example of a “puff piece.”
“””Can someone explain to me just what the hell is renewable energy? “””””
I didn’t want to pollute and destroy the planet so I put a windmill and solar panel on my dump truck . I will let you know how it works out.
When tbe final story is written on the Biden campaign, they will point to his basement strategy as the worst decision in the history of presidential politics.
Beat me to it. Not only do those institutions support Biden, they cover up for him, manage and suppress news for him, highlight every possible negative angle about Trump, and endlessly lie about Trump.
Solar-powered chainsaws...
A certain part of the electorate is tired of the Trump’s constant drama and personal style. Another part is weak and can’t stand that Trump struggles against political opponents instead of weakly caving in to get along. Leftists want radical change that Trump blocks.
None of that equals actively supporting Biden, or admiring his calm, steady leadership. The author sidesteps the reality that Biden is the same tired, empty-brained, boring, scattered, dishonest crook he has always been. No one wants him to be President except family and cronies who want to use him to enrich themselves. He inspires the same enthusiasm as he did in 2018 when the author saw audience walk out — well, probably less, since he has been declining rapidly.
Sometime on the late night of 03NOV20, I believe that MOST of the USA will realize that the VOTERS were NOT FOOLED by the DISHONESTY of the DIMocRATS, Holly-WEIRD & the “mainstream” MEDIA.
“Crazy Joe & da ‘HO” are going to LOSE & (I suspect by a MUCH larger percentage) WORSE than HRC did.

Joe Biden gives low-key campaigning a whole new meaning.
But then, the standard was never set very high for Joe.
And whatever Joe regards as the “Soul of America” is a pretty amorphous phantasmal thing. There is a “Spirit of America”, celebrated in various pieces of prose and poetry, that is an uplifting set of ideals, but Joe never thought we ever measured up to those standards.
