It’s just the flu, bro.

Ridiculous fear porn:

https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/coronavirus-case-increase-sets-new-u-s-record-rising-over-n1244490

For above link Drudge had the title “Covid’s Worst Day”. This is all because of single minded focus on positive tests/cases.

https://news.trust.org/item/20201023224724-65eq9

For above link Drudge had the title “deaths could hit 500,000 by February”. This, of course, is absolutely ridiculous because it implies the virus will get 2-3 times more virulent than it has been.

When will people stop buying into the panic? Very few people have a close relation who was young and healthy who died. When will people say that their eyes, ears and personal experiences inform them more about the virus than the MSM?

Fauci calls for federal mask mandate. Fire him!

Over 4 million people die on this planet from hunger each year. There is a vaccine called food with no side affects.

::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

Operating under the premise that this was intentional to at least some extent, I would not be surprised if the virus had some ‘help’ becoming more virulent when Trump wins and attempts to roll back some of the insanity. I hope Trump has some wise and dependable minds game planning for what the left may throw at us after he wins.

“I hope Trump has some wise and dependable minds game planning for what the left may throw at us after he wins.”

After he wins, I think he’s going to do some major ass kicking. Being in his last term he has to worry less about being PD. Hopefully the last four years have given him more knowledge about whom he can and can’t trust when recommending and hiring personnel.

Pence’s hiring of Fauci and Birx was a humongous mistake! I think I read that Pence has history with at least Fauci, and maybe Birx. What a travesty bringing them in to pollute the team.

Yes, it does. The whole thing has “Fauci” written all over it. There is too much data now available for us to read to believe anything that power-mad man has to say.

I do not understand why he has not been fired. He has not published a decent paper in years and years. Why is anyone listening to him? Who is his lover and promoter? It can only be that sort of relationship ...and he must be very good at whatever he donates.

My wife and I had to be tested yesterday to be able to go see my mother in memory care for the first time since March. Prognosis - negative.

‘229,284 TOTAL DEAD...’

if you actually believe that many people were healthy, functioning people who two weeks later were sickened by this bug and died, I don’t know what to tell you, bud...

and if those who died were already health compromised, something was going to kill them, right...? no one gets out of here alive...

As of yesterday's report from the CDC, the Overall Mortality Rate (that is, the percentage of the total population who have died either FROM Covid or WITH Covid) is 0.067%.

To put this in perspective, that is the same OMR as the Asian Flu of 1957. Those of us who remember that particular flu also remember that the schools weren't closed, business were not shut down by the order of two-bit wannabe dictators, there were no mask mandates, and the flu was not on the top of every news broadcast.

There was no panic.

Precisely, the rat talking point sure has been going out on steroids lately, same EXACT thing here.

RENO, Nev. (KOLO) - OCT. 23, 4:55 P.M. Health officials on Friday reported 350 new COVID-19 cases which is now the single largest day increase in both total and active cases since the pandemic started.

As of October 23, health leaders say there have been 170,104 COVID 19 tests conducted in the county, which is up 1,231 since October 22.

As of yesterday's report from the CDC, the Overall Mortality Rate (that is, the percentage of the total population who have died either FROM Covid or WITH Covid) is 0.067%. I cannot find the CDC page with that stat, but even WaPo says the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention puts the mortality rate at 0.65 percent. [https://www.washingtonpost.com/health/2020/10/09/covid-mortality-rate-down/] which seems to be the Infection Fatality Ratio (IFR) -meaning deaths relative to estimated cases -

Here is a site page with deaths rates for most countries, but not the US.

And with an est. 116,000 deaths for the Asian flu, that corresponds to about 200,000 today, since the tot. pop. was about half in 57-58 of what it is today. I am not sure how attribution was made.

Correction: https://infectionrank.org/ does list the US, under USA, and with the % MORTALITY
of Population at 0.069%, mainly due to NE states.

Meanwhile an estimated 1,200 children died in the 2012-2013 flu season [https://www.cdc.gov/flu/about/burden/faq.htm] while as of Oct 23 2020 the CDC says that there have been only 101 COVID-assigned deaths among children under 18 [https://covid.cdc.gov/covid-data-tracker/#demographics] out of almost 230,000 COVID-19 deaths nationwide, and with 92% of all Covid-19 deaths being among those 55 and older [https://lawliberty.org/covids-age-discrimination], with almost all of such having 2 or more Comorbidities [https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/nvss/vsrr/covid_weekly/index.htm#Comorbidities] [https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7327471] And with the national mortality of Population rate being 0.069%, mainly due to NE states. [https://infectionrank.org/]

In addition, less than 10 percent of domestic COVID-19 *cases* have been among children under 18 (reported 9–11) [https://www.news-medical.net/news/20200910/Over-half-a-million-reported-child-COVID-19-cases-in-the-United-States.aspx] while the vast majority of all persons with severe COVID tend to have other risk factors.[https://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/volumes/69/wr/mm6915e3.htm?s_cid=mm6915e3_w]

Furthermore up to 90% of persons testing positive via PCR tests have such a low viral load that they are not likely to be contagious, [https://www.nytimes.com/2020/08/29/health/coronavirus-testing.html]

Finally, the long-term costs in physical and mental health and finances due to this all-ages drastic restrictions when are tremendous.[https://therevolutionaryact.com/studies-the-shutdown-is-not-lives-vs-dollars-its-lives-vs-lives]

Almost 95% of which COVID 19 deaths were among those 50 and over. For deaths with conditions or causes in addition to COVID-19, on average, there were 2.6 additional conditions or causes per death: https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/nvss/vsrr/covid_weekly/index.htm#Comorbidities]
