Paleolithic men hunted, and could coordinate like wolves or lions, with just grunts and gestures, and slapstick stooge slaps to correct mistakes.
Women, on the other hand, did camp chores and needed more than grunts for whining and griping, gossip, and "mean girl" stuff like catty remarks about the other girl's leopard skin outfit.
Duh!
I’m guessing that this theory is true for at least 85% of all women, around the world. No matter what race, no matter what income status, women put more energy into communication than most men do.

In very generalized way, probably going all the way back to very ancient times and how people lived and who did what - men went out and hunted for game, women kept the home fires lit and managed the home site and the kids - men communicated by doing (their actions) women communicate by talking.
Men seek demonstration of motive in action, women want to hear answers to their questions. Men seek self-confirmation by the results of what they do, women seek self-confirmation by conversational nodding of agreement from their friends.
That is just a very sexist generalization I know, and I don’t analyze it, it’s just what my life experience says to me. It can be wrong I admit, but we all need something that guides our relationships and the best we have is what we know from experience.
One of my pet peeves is people talking on a cell phone while driving, especially when going through a busy intersection. Based on these observations, I’d say women outnumber the men at least 5 to 1 in doing this. My favorite is a woman with a cell phone up to her ear with one hand, and playing with her hair with the other while she’s looking in the mirror.
