DOUGLAS — A 73-year-old Vietnam veteran out holding a sign supporting President Trump was assaulted on Saturday, according to police.
Douglas Police arrested 34-year-old Kiara Dudley, of Douglas, and charged her with assault and battery on an elderly person causing injury after the incident at the intersection of Main and Webster streets.
A couple from Douglas, including the veteran, were at that intersection around noon on Saturday holding Trump flags and signs, according to police.

It really doesn’t matter what she looks like, who she sleeps with or her political leanings. No one has the right to assault another person, especially over political issues.
It is a crime and should be strictly punished.
I’m hearing so many case of this lately, all involving younger Leftists hitting older conservatives.

Various forms of indoctrination. I saw it amid one of the “peaceful protests” earlier this year when an elderly man said he fought for the country (while holding a flag) and the Antifa-type said “I am so sick of your type” before an assault. It is getting to a point where any day can include a challenging experience.
I think it is a basic bullying mentality.
They don’t go after young, fit, armed men. They go after someone who can not easily fight back.
Brace yourselves for violence. They will attack you, seeking to do you harm. Don’t be foolish. Be aware of your surroundings. Always have an escape route, and if you are going to hold a sign, know the numbers you will be assaulted by and at least have enough back up to make a safe exit from a bad situation possible.
