With just days to go in the campaign, Trump knocks environmentally friendly toilets

With just days to go before the election, President Trump has a lot of things on his mind. And water pressure for toilets appears to be one of them.

In a lengthy digression during his rally in Carson City, Nev., on Sunday, Trump claimed that Americans have to “flush their toilet 15 times” due to restrictions on water usage.

“You know what really bothers me? When you go into a new hotel or new house, they have these faucets, and you turn them on and no water comes out,” the president said. He then launched into an eight-minute story about water flow and American appliances that included its own aside about his support among women and the 2016 electoral map.

# I read in the Minneapolis papers about a water shortage every summer. You know Minnesota, the land of at least 10,000 lakes plus untold numbers of creeks and ponds and rivers filled with lots of water. Summer storms of 12” in a day not uncommon.

It gets to the point that you start questioning your senses and commonsense.

I always thought that Mr Kohler had done plenty of experiments on how much water was correct for your waste to be flushed..

Kohler came to the USA Green Bay area foundries (There used to be lots of them), and tinkered with plumbing devices. He started his own business, and the town of Kohler, Wisconsin is literally the result.

Some jerk water politician certainly will NEVER know how much water it takes to have a decent flush.

The very same people pushing the low flow toilets are telling all of us to wash our hands 20 times a day for 10 minutes at a time...

They cannot get their 2 stories straight, IMO.

Hadn’t heard ab out the move to get more water to Calif farmers.

The Delta Smelt that is the beneficiary of all that fresh water:

IS NOT a California native fish-—IS NOT edible-—IS NOT a bait fish, since other fish won’t bite....

All that wasted water would feed lots of those who we are always being badgered to feed.

Wait until youn are talked into a low water washing machine...

A fiend who only gets her news from NPR bought a new pair W/D when she moved. She has had to run it for 2, sometimes 3 cycles to get the clothes clean.

I have a pair that are 2 of the last machines to come out of the MAYTAG factory before Whirlpool bought Maytag & left the factory in Newton, Iowa empty.

My property is for sale, and I have made it VERY clear that those 2 machines DO NOT stay here.

To leftist elites, this sounds like ridicule-worthy talk.

To real Americans, this sounds like he understands the excesses of the regulatory state and its effect on ordinary folks.
