“I didn’t like Donald Trump in 2016. I figured he was a NE Liberal Republican”

Correction New York Liberal Democrat.

That only lasted til spring 16. He kept on a great message and went stronger every day. He didn’t back down or weasel out.

Cruz disqualified himself by choosing Fiorina in some weird Reagan-Schweikart imitation.

I have the same opinion, including Glenn Beck.

Finally, a couple weeks ago a caller his radio show asked Ben if he was going to endorse Trump. And he wouldn’t do it and said he didn’t know what was going to happen between now and the election. Glad to hear he has made a decision.

“What an obnoxious, little self-important wanker Shapiro is.”

since i already knew that, i didn’t need to watch the video ...

... btw, i think of him more as an obnoxious, little self-important pissant rather than wanker ...

“I know quite a few people who didn’t support Trump in 2016 who’ve come around and will now vote for him. “

and i strongly suspect that there are even more like that, but who are keeping quiet about it ...

Anyone who would have helped Hillary be President in 2016 is immediately disqualified from being worthy of providing an opinion. I’m glad he changed his mind, but he is disqualified as a pundit as far as I am concerned.

Well...he had the luxury of not being in a battleground state (California). He also genuinely did not believe the 180 degree turns on a host of issues were sincere and did not believe he would deliver on them and was a scam artist - given his history and past remarks, that was a perfectly rationale assumption. But Trump did deliver, before our very eyes...and Shapiro admits it and isn't at all mad about policies he has wanted to see implemented get implemented simply because it is Trump doing it, unlike others...he's glad they are in place.

There were a lot of places Trump carried where he won by larger margins statewide than Republicans have before, but lost individual areas or won them by much smaller margins where Republicans typically have a blow-out - Ben Shapiro has influence over these people where his podcast is popular - the college educated, intellectual conservative wing of the party that Trump "rubs the wrong way." If this announcement brings a number of these folks back into the fold, that could be most helpful for holding marginal states.

M. Medved came out for Biden and Sleepy Jay. For a smart guy, there’s a lot wrong with his calculus.

I think that he was a bit hard on Trump’s character.

The left was able to dig up nothing worse on him than a crass comment he made some 15-16 years ago now.

Compared to the left, Trump is as pure as the new driven snow. His divorces and playboy lifestyle prior to his term in office pales in comparison to the pedophilia the dems engage in and the homosexuality they embrace. They are in NO position to point any fingers at him for moral failings.

I wonder how anyone would like it if they were judged by some incidents in the past that is no longer who they are. Everyone makes and made mistakes and lapses in judgment, has said things they later regret and wish they could take back. Who of us would like to have that hanging over our heads the rest of our lives?

People change and nobody is perfect.

Ben is stupid if #3 wasn’t apparently to him just four years ago.

He thought 0bama and Hillary and their supporters in Congress were fine people?

He’s an idiot.

I think Trump has turned off a lot of older voters......and they vote.

I didn’t vote for Trump in 2016 either. I voted for the candidate that almost exactly matched my political view and did not have the truckload of moral baggage Trump did.

This year - I may actually vote for him. BUT - Kanye West actually made the ballot - so I might just vote for him (since Trump will easily win my state with or without my vote).

Huge butthurt over losing his syndicated show to Seb Gorka.

“Trump has repaired relations with Ted Cruz and Lindsay Graham. Forgive and forget.”

and many others too, like pretty much ALL the people who ran in the primaries against him in 2016 except for those globalist/RINO traitorous scumbags like kasich, jeb, and Fiorina who all subsequently endorsed Biden ...

I find it hard to believe “character” is even in question here.

So Trump is honest...brutally so. How is that compared to the rest of the dumpster rats we get in politics who lie endlessly to appease voters? Who steal and cheat to get rich, but they do it with candor so that automatically makes them more noble?

Get out of here with that crap, Shapiro. Donald Trump is by the far the most genuine and honest leader we’ve had in centuries. So he drops an F bomb here and there and calls his enemies names. Suck it up, Tinker Bell.

Joe Biden is dementia with legs.

Shapiro’s attitude reminds me of old westerns where a town overrun by violent criminals hires a new sheriff, but then the townsfolk start criticizing him because he curses, drinks whiskey, and is rough on the bad guys.

A brilliant analogy that is 100% true. Ben is a smart guy with a cutting wit, but he is very hung up on his stylistic differences with Trump as more than a few in the GOPe are.

In the end though, there is no real alternative in this election. You can’t “spend” a Trump tweet and the guy is not your pastor or father. He is the chief executive of the country and his decisions dictate the country we have and the country we leave for our children and grandchildren.

The man has absolutely killed it as President. I love Ronaldus Magnus, but based on the number of accomplishments it is a fact that Trump has already done more than Reagan in 3.5 years despite non-stop attack. 4 more years of this would be glorious!
