“I didnt like Donald Trump in 2016. I figured he was a NE Liberal Republican”
Correction New York Liberal Democrat.
That only lasted til spring 16. He kept on a great message and went stronger every day. He didn’t back down or weasel out.
Cruz disqualified himself by choosing Fiorina in some weird Reagan-Schweikart imitation.
The Constitution disqualifies Cruz.
I want to like Cruz, but the last two months of his prior campaign is best described as “a hot mess.”
However, I can forgive him. He is a brilliant man who is a rock-solid conservative. I think unlike many of his peers, he has also picked up some threads of populism/nationalism.
Despite the train wreck in the 2016 primary he remains someone to watch. DeSantis, Noem, and Haley (yes, I don’t trust her either) are also in the top 5 IMO. I am starting to think that Noem wants to go to DC and that makes me happy, I think DeSantis will do another term as governor, and Haley will definitely run and she will have the GOPe support and will be formidable. Pence may figure in the mix also although his dry personality (like Cruz) hurts him.
Enough dreaming about the future though.... we have to win this election!
Regan/Schweiker...I don’t think LS was on that ticket, lol.
