Well personally I only comply because if I don’t I won’t be able to work or enter a store to purchase anything. So in essence, no mask no paycheck no health insurance. I attempted to stand my ground but my 69 year old co-worker forced the issue. Security will escort you out if you try to get away without one. I’ve seen it.
Its about creating fear that will keep voters away from the polls thats all it is
Surely you must have to wear a mask in California in order to get in a grocery store and do things you need to do and avoid getting stopped or fined.

I’ve chosen to ignore Witchmer’s edict since day 1. I can’t get into stores or other local businesses without a face mask, so I put one underneath my chin. The only times I put it on is when I get closer than 6 ft to people, which doesn’t happen often. Most employees don’t care anyway.
My biggest inconvenience is grocery stores are all closing at or before midnight. I miss shopping at 2 am or 4 am but there’s nothing I can do about that. I admit I’ve been avoiding going into restaurants which I seldom do anyway.
What can we do? Vote. Supposedly there’s a petition going around to have a recall election for our ugly-ass governor, but I’ve yet to see one.
It’s called propaganda....all governments indulge in it to have their way with their citizens!!!!
Look I live here in Marin County , and my wife is a liberal and pretty much everybody around here is liberals
nearly everybody is still wearing masks
But after me telling my wife over and over since about April that we have control over this thing and it’s not scary she and all of her girlfriends out here finally buying it here in October
Two examples my kids are allowed to have sleepovers in the house not outside in tents ; and the schools are actually re-opening the kids are going to be going in the building next week or the week after
Now I’ll say were actually re-open when the following three things happen
1 - the YMCA pool is open , along with the hot tub and the locker rooms
2- all my bars are open somme and the wife can go out dancing and have a margarita
and 3- the kids are back in school five days a week.
Remember that many liberals are scared half to death by this bullshiite. and will continue to wear masks from here until forever more
My advice. don’t let it bother you
… You can’t hide from a virus… That mask that you’re wearing, if you read the box that it came out of it would tell you that the mask does nothing to stop COVID-19… Do you know why it says that? Because COVID-19 is going to get you… and not just one time… Just like a cold or the flu, you’re going to get COVID-19… It’s a virus… It’s airborne… Masks don’t stop it… It’s called “life”
Let me ask you a question… Why are you wearing a mask? You’re not wearing it because it’s the law… Because it’s not. You’re wearing a mask because somewhere someone thought they knew better… and they announced an edict or a mandate… And you comply. But you see I don’t respond to edict’s or mandates… Kings give those… I don’t live under Kings RULE.. you may choose to… I never will.

With so many designers out there working on new mask designs, I’d say they expect masks to become a norm. With my asthma issues I can’t wear one for more than 5-10 minutes anyway. Only time I put one on is to go shopping or the doctors where you can’t access without it.
My job doesn’t require a mask since we work distanced anyway, but the mask thing needs to go away.
BTW, all these covid tests they report each day, who is taking them? Are these repeat patients? I just don’t see how they can test 10-20K a day in our state for 6 months and not be doing a lot of repeat testing.

If only 7% of the people died FROM Covid then that number is 16,100 that have actually died FROM Covid. So the percent of Americans that died FROM Covid is .0000488 or .00488 percent
Thus .00069 * 100 = .069% or .069 percent
We wear masks because our elders agree that meeting in person is better for most of the congregation. We have a few with poor respiratory systems and they chose to use the live stream. We follow the health dept requirements for masks (when singing) and social distancing. We enjoy our time togther. I pray that the Holy Spirit directs your choices and comforts you.

You’re a bit off-target, FRiend. I never said I was wearing a mask. I noted in my post - twice - that I was answering as a pro-masker would.

I totally agree with you.
Yesterday I had my mask hanging off of my left ear. A woman said, “Put your mask on!”
I said, “I am not close to you at all. So leave me alone.”
Then I turned to the receptionist in my building and said, loud enough for the woman to hear, “I really hate the mask police.”
Then, jokingly I said, “Marie, you have briefly let your mask slip under your nose and mouth.” I winked and she laughed.
